My AC broke 8days ago they've been here 3times since and there's always an excuse on why they can't fix it. Finally they made an appointment and we're suppose to show up today i specifically told the guy to be here before 3 or the building wouldn't let them in. I called the company when I saw they weren't showing up the company said they should be here by 3. They showed up at around 5:30 and since the office was closed and they couldn't get in they left. Has not only helped keeping my AC units running but added a piece of mind to my house and office. They have installed a UV light to my home unit, Replaced an AC/DC module at my new house Re routed a leaky drainage pipe from a second older unit in my house And put in a new unit at my office. My AC broke the end of April. Called Pride because I saw them working on a home across street. What a mistake! David came and just start to change parts on unit outside by the time he finished I was down for $300. 9 days later AC broke again same symptom. I called and ask to speak with a manager. Customer service told me that he/she was busy and would call me back. It has been a week and no call. They will take your money and don't care. Read More »

I was told by ECM that my a/c was broken and out of freon. They refused to put freon in the a/c as they said the unit was completely empty. I gave them a deposit, on a $3000 roof a/c. Suddenly the a/c started cooling so I called Pride, for a second opinion. I spoke to Mr. Howard and he not only sent an a/c man that same day... he didn't charge me a penny. I needed a new AC and had several estimates. I decided to go with Pride because of the excellent customer service and their knowledge and wisdom about the particular ac unit I needed. I just want to thank Pride for their professionalism and amazing customer service!!! From the very first consultation with the salesman to the installation, I felt like a valued customer. I bought my Trane A/C unit through Home Depot and they used Pride A/C. After a year, the unit was not functioning and water was all over the floor of my house. This was on a Friday. They told me they could not get anyone out until Monday. It is now Thursday of the following week and I still do not have A/C. The parts department does not return calls. It is all about the people! That's my take. When I hire someone to fix my air conditioning, my plumbing, my truck... whatever it is..., I want quality work. I want respect. And I want a fair price. Too often, that is too much to ask. Most of the time, I find myself just trying not to get cheated. I hate that. Ever since I found Pride, at least I can relax about my air conditioning. In the past I have signed several service contracts with different companies to cover my A/C, appliances, and plumbing. They all promise one fee and you pay nothing ever again, but that is not really true – there are things that are excluded. With this said, I have been using Pride for over a year, and I feel they have some of the best prices and the service technicians are simply just better than at other companies. DO NOT USE THEM!! I am a tenant in a unit where owner used Pride for A/C, Plumbing services for years (when there were no problems). When we did have problems, the service people were lazy as heck, would just look at the A/C unit and say things like "well, it's just old!" without even opening the A/C closet! They'd say "oh that toilet has a narrow tube" -- with no attempts made to do anything further etc. We got very used to hearing "well that's not covered by your service contract!" ...... Read More »

I needed a new air conditioner for my house, so I called a few companies from the newspaper, but wasn't sure who to use. The sales guys I spoke with over the phone were a little pushy... I decided to ask my neighbor for advice, and he said he uses Pride Air Conditioning (He has a service contract). I called them, and the most polite and friendly salesperson came out (named Chuck). ZERO stars! Avoid doing business with this company like the plague! I recently had the misfortune of calling them to fix my AC unit. I was charged for 2 hrs of labor on 1.5 hours of work, for 2.25 lbs of freon on a 29 oz capacity unit and for fixing a wire that the tech himself had broken! He was more than willing to give me an inflated price quote of $2850 on a new AC unit that I later found out after talking to a few people in the industry that was from a bad manufacturer.
