These people should be ashamed. I lost my mother in September 2020 which was a very strange, sad and stressful event. While my sister and I took time to grieve my Grandmother took the role of hiring an attorney. They took her $4000 as a retainer and then did absolutely nothing. They took complete advantage of my 83 year old grandmother AND cost us (my sister and I) to lose out on some of our rightful inheritance, due 100 percent to lack of communication on their end. I hired Mark Shalloway of Shalloway and Shalloway when I was in West Palm Beach. I live in Denver but my father has retired to the Palm Beaches and I flew in with my husband to seek some help with some legal questions about estate taxes, hiring a home care provider and medicare. Recently my wife and I had to take care of a will and insurance issue for her mom. Her mom is 94, God Bless her. We visited Mark Shalloway and his group. My parents needed help when my father became disabled. We went to see Mark Shalloway who had done a seminar on elder law at their complex. We didn't see Mark, but did see his father. They explained they wanted to have me, their only child, become the primary person the Powers of Attorney and Health Surrogates and wanted to find some way to protect their assets if one of them had to go into a nursing home. Went seeking guidance for my elderly parents. These guys were awful. After spending thousands of dollars. (parents are on social security) NOTHING got done. Emails and telephone calls were never returned. After numerous attempts to get Mark Shalloway on the phone I received a phone call from an assistant who's only question was when we could send additional money.
