I am writing this review to show my appreciation for the employee's and service at Greentech Solar Solutions. From the beginning when setting my appointment for an energy survey to be done in the home, the young lady was very kind and professional with me. Refered by a friend. OK company. Gave me advice on how to save on my power bill. Decided to install a solar water system they offered. They included some extras and with the tax credits and rebates the deal was pretty good. The install went well. No complaints as of now. Hard to tell how much I'm saving on my bill yet because I've had to use the AC heat the last couple of months. If the sun is heating the water instead of FLP then the bill should go down a lot. All I can say is to shop around. I got sucked into their on the spot sales pitch and found out after it was too late they are charging over $8,000 for maybe $2,000 at the very most worth of hardware. That comes to $6,000 for installation. Boy, I sure hope I save a few bucks on my electric bill now. Granted the state is supposed to give back $500, and a 30% "tax credit" from the federal government; still not sure exactly what that means. So after all is said and done my cost is somewhere arou... GreenTech called doing a customer service survey and asked me to place a review of my experience with them. They said that after many years in business that there were very few reviews available so I agreed but told them that while I`m overall happy with their service and product that I would also be critical. I received a phone call from "Free Energy Act" that identified them as a Florida State agency. I scheduled an inspection and received a confirmation from "Florida State Inspection". In reality it was a sales rep from Greentech in Miami trying to sell solar heating systems. There was a helpful inspection and the sales approach was not aggressive but the premise was deceptive and I am on the national Do Not Call registry. Read More »
