For the first 18 months of a two year contract I did not get the minimum guaranteed speed. For over one whole month of that time my service didn't work at all. My employees ranted and raved about how bad the comm service was, and how bad the tech reps were. I tried to cancel the service, because it was not working, but they started billing my credit card directly, without my permission. I purchased a Thuraya phone and plan from this company in 2004 before I went to Iraq. I terminated my contract after 6 months and paid the termination fee. After terminating my contract in writing and over the phone they continued to bill me, and charge my card, for services that they were not performing.
