My and I brought our home May 28, 2015 Fidelity Warranty was who we sign up with it was the worsts mistake of our lives. I called this company to ask about a problem I am having getting my 2013 RAM Longhorn Laramie repaired. The thing wouldn't shut off!! Ended up taking it to 2 different "5 Star" dealers who gave me 2 different diagnosis's. One said the repair was covered and the other said it wasn't. Fidelity Warranty Services is a RIP OFF!!! For obvious needed repairs, the company refuses to send an inspector out to witness the car overheating and cutting off. They said that seeing this happen along with diagnostic reports and tests from several mechanics for parts covered under my warranty aren't enough. I've taken my car in several times and they always have a dispute about what it is covered. My door would not open and they said it wasn't covered because it was trim. Really people!?!? I just recently took it in because the water pump and busted and leaked into the oil. They at first just wanted to cover the water pump and not anything else. Overall the warranty was probably a fair purchase but dealing with them is a hassle because they are so rude. My plan covered a steering rack replacement, a new ignition coil but not defective heated seats or the spark plugs that needed to be replaced along with the coil. I can’t think of one component on any vehicle that has this warranty that can’t be denied coverage when it needs repairing using a word(s) on the contract to fit the situation. Words like “contamination, lack of lubricants, lack of oil, corrosion, chemicals, overheating, salt, misuse, carelessness etc.” are the convenient ticket for Fidelity Warranty to cheat their customers and avoid their obligation. I purchased an extended Fidelity Warranty for a 2006 Dodge Durango Limited. I purchased the vehicle with 50,000 miles on it and it was in excellent condition. As problems arose (fuel system, braking system, airbags, key fobs) my dealership would submit the claims to Fidelity. I purchased a used vehicle about 3 months ago. The finance department convinced me that I needed the added protection of an extended warranty. I drove across country to Fort Bliss, TX recently and took my vehicle in for an oil change. I was so young and naive on wanting to get myself a car. Well the salesmen had a very great and easy time on selling me this car. I spent $8,000 on this warranty total, the price of the contract included (which was $6,400). We were sold a premium plan service plan from a Chrysler Dealer and one of the few times our car needed the warranty it was excluded. The car overheated and we brought it in and thought it would be covered - IT AS NOT. I bought a 2005 Dodge grand caravan in March of 206. I was talked into a Platinum extended warranty for 100k miles or 7 years. I just took it into the dealership for a covered repair only to be told that my warranty expired on January 1 2012 just 5 years and 10 months after I purchase it. About two months after purchasing my 2004 Denali, vehicle lost oil pressure. I had purchased Fidelity extended warranty and returned to dealer with this problem. Fidelity instructed repair shop to tear down motor to find the problem. Once problem was diagnosed Fidelity authorized a motor replacement. Although the process took a couple of weeks, I ended up with a remanufactured engine for only the deductible cost plus shop supplies. Read More »

2006 Mercedes ML, dealer said that the entire rack and pinion, etc had to be replaced. TOTAL removal, FIdelity Warranty took over a week and a half to have an inspector show up..authorized the repair HOWEVER the vehicle would have to have a 4 wheel alignment following this and THIS IS NOT COVERED UNDER THE WARRANTY. Struts and Sway Bar Links(Both Left and Right), Insulators, Upper struts Bearings need to be replaced. This contract was sold to me with the understanding that it was a Bumper to Bumper Coverage, for 10 years or 100,000 Miles, whichever came first. Neither one of these limitations have been reached. Actually they don't even earn 1 star Approx a month ago I had an issue with front axles on my 2006 Honda CR-V(front of car was vibrating).Took it 1st to a Midas shop. I purchased their platinum warranty when I bought the car new, at 33 miles off the lot. I never had a claim, but purchasing a $2,398 warranty really limits your ability to sell the car. If you sell the car prior to the warranty expiring you will lose a significant portion of the value of this "refundable" warranty. Fidelity Extended Warranties are a scam and the company is scum. They are promoted by dealerships as the dealer gets a large commission($1200) for selling the $3500 platinum extended warranty to unsuspecting customers. Most reputable independant brokers will not handle Fidelity. My 2006 Volvo had massive engine failure due to serpentine belt shredding. Motor is ruined. Best Customer Service experience in a long long time. We were traveling for the weekend in our 08 Corvette along the Florida Gulf Coast. Found out this week the ty-rod needs replaced, NOT COVERED per Fidelity, due to "normal wear and tear".They even sent an inspector to the car dealer. Never had that happen before. I Purchased Fidelity Extended Warranty 25 May 2006. On 14 Feb 2009 I had to replace a Left front Axle (Not Covered) Per Fidelity. on 5 Sep 2009 I had to replace a Right front Axle (Not Covered) Per Fidelity. I bought an extended warranty from a VW dealership and never used it. When I decided to cancel it, there was a $50 administrative fee and the amount back would be pro-rated. I specifically needed coverage on certain items which the finance manager insured me were covered. Yet, when my car broke down, none of the items were covered. Totally Dissatisfied. In winter I went off the road, got stuck in snow and mud, and burned up my transmission. Fidelity Warranty did not deliver for me, as the damage was caused by me. I would not expect trying to get my car unstuck to catastrophically damage the transmission ($2200 rebuild). I would not expect the warranty company to disregard the claim. Unhappy customer. I have had the greatest experience with Fidelity. My car broke down on a family vacation 1,000 miles from home. The company arranged for a tow, got me a rental car in one hour after entering the dealership service department, and then paid for my hotel and food for four days. The reimbursement for food and hotel did not cover al of my expenses but very close.
