Purchased The Shield Deluxe 2009 for a two year contract in Nov. 2008. In April of 2010 the databases were obsolete, called the company and they offered me a new contract at a discounted rate because they were no longer supporting this contract. Purchased their product 'The Shield Deluxe 2009' near a year ago. The program uses the core module from BitDefender which is a fairly good anti-virus engine. March 22 we received a faulty antivirus update, which incorrectly tagged critical system files as malicious. The problem affected 64-bit Windows versions and left computers unable to boot. I licensed a computer with PC Security Shield Deluxe 2009 in November of 09. In March I started running into data base update errors and finally decided I'd better call them in April to identify the fix. That is when they informed me that they had abandoned the 2009 product! They were no longer supporting it. Even though the license is still valid! I recently upgraded to win 7 x64. I contacted pcsecurity shield and asked what I had to do, to get a version of their software that was compatible with this version of windows. They didn't respond to my emails. I called them twice and talked to their Yogi support. They stated they were transferring me to get a new link to download it from. PC Security Shield is a fraudulent company. What is sold under the name, spyware or antivirus (depending on the product) is anything but spyware or antivirus. What is being sold is more aptly described as scare-ware, and I would suspect that beyond being scare-ware, and massively ineffective spyware and anti-virus, it may also contain some of its very own malware. Have tried many times to contact PCSecurityShield via email and phone. Have not upgraded older 2009 software. Not that old but they forgot it but keep you money. Purchase at your own risk and soon you will be at risk because Windows 7 will not work with it. In the Windows 7 Action Center the shield gives a warning that it is not compatable with Windows 7. The only reason their is one star is because they would not leave them completely blank. Read More »

PCSecurityShield Deluxe 2009 has caused me more problems then any other software I have ever installed. It destroyed my email account, locked up my computer and would not accept the company given 'key' to make it run after a normal shut down and re-boot. In this one week of trying I have contacted their 'support' with no response. A complete waste of time and money. If I could I wouldn't even give this company a single star. Read More »
