They cancelled my account without notifying me because they sent my last invoice to an address I have not been at in over five years, then referred me to a credit collection company for nonpayment. This company should be shut down. The only thing they are good at is selling you on a contract. They rope you into a 3 year contract with a smile. Now 3 Years later we've learn that we have been automatically renewed for another 36 months, a month before we move to our new home, and the support team is yelling at my wife explaining how it is our fault and there is nothing we can do about it. If you have to have a alarm monitoring company do not use SECURITY NETWORKS due to them not having a military clause allowing you out of your contract early and want to charge you an early termination fee and wont waive the charges!!! Read More »

We used Security Networks system for 3 years. Originally at our first home, and then again after we moved. Our second home was wired for a security system, but their techs couldn't get it to work so we ended up with sensors on all the doors and windows..basically they didn't use the wiring already installed in the home. Do not consider Security Networks for your home security system. I contracted for their service and have completed a 3-year contract. It is now 5 months later, and I have decided to end the service. The representative stated that I was under a new automatic 3-year contract and could buy out of it by paying 31 monthly charges. Do not buy a security system from Security Networks. Their lead technician told me and my elderly parents that we had 3 days to cancel the service after we told them we did not want it. He told us he would personally reinstall our ADT system if we cancelled and he gave me his business carD to contact him direct. I have security networks system for Three and half years,about one month ago My house was broken into, the burglars was able to rip the key pad off the wall and disconnect the wires,although the system was armed no signal was sent. They were able to rip my 46 ins TV off the wall and stole other valuable things. IWOULD never recommend security network to any body that are looking for a security system. A sales person knocked on my door in Washington a few weeks ago and offered me free $1200 alarm for helping them market. I took the offer and agreed to pay for the monitoring of about $55. He later informed me that there is a 5 year contract that I had 30 days after the 5 years to renegotiate with security networks. I would NEVER recommend this company. They told me if I moved that the reinstalation would be free. When it came time to move, it was then only free if I renewed my contract for another 3 years. I payed over 200 to have it reinstalled, more than the original installation price. Today i recieved a final notice in the mail reguarding the reinstalation which i paid to the serice man. Do not get suckered into this scam. They would not help me in any fashion to get out of the contract. I work out of town and missed writing them a 30 day cancellation. My original sales guy did not tell me about the auto renewal. I know that it is not Security Networks fault for the sales guys presentation. My security was out, my phones were out, my home was being worked on. My daughter in law scheduled an appt. which they did not keep. I called, and she called, but they said we had cancelled the appt. There are many reviews about this company that are negative. The truth is that all but the "auto renewal" are not even about Security Networks to begin with. The untrustworthy sales people that you have experienced are simply people that are working in your area. I like David have recently gotten Security Networks monitoring through a company called Alarm Zenith. COMPLETE FRAUD!! Sales rep from previous alarm company came back to say ICON was going backrupt and that Security Networks was the new company. FRAUD! The sales rep was let go from ICON and was going back to 'his' customers and lying to them. We were being billed from both companies. He did not ask for credit card info, instead he just used what he still had on file. THAT IS ILLEGAL! That break all federal and state trade laws. I live in houston and I had a guy from a company called alarm zenith come to my door a year ago and they use security networks as a monitoring company. despite the company's bad reviews I decided to go with this company because they had the new wireless technology and the salesman seemed knowledgable on the system and industry. FRAUD......FRAUD....This company is so fraudulent! Came to my home posing as Protection One and removed all of protection one monitoring in my home and replaced my service for DOUBLE the amount per month. Also customer service associate said I can buy my way out of my contract for $2500. Since when does anyone sign a 5 year contract??? Which auto renews!LOL. I had a pretty good experience with this company. I have had their alarm for about 4 months now. They installed my alarm the same day I asked for it. The representative that signed me up was very thorough and polite. I haven't had any problems with customer service. Their prices are cheaper then companies I checked in the area and their installation seems pretty good. I have been able to sleep a lot better since the alarm was installed. A company that lies and uses deceptive tactics to keep and scare customers. I have been their customer for 4 years; 3 years as per contract, then 1 year auto renewal. Then as I wanted to cancel my subscription from Aug 2009. They said that I have been auto renewed for another year. Buyers beware! Contracts will automatically renew on you if you aren't careful. Make sure to send in you letter of cancellation a good 6 months in advance. Also, they charge to come out to fix the system and it doesn't matter what's wrong with the system. They start at about $30 to come out to fix the system. Read More »

We signed up with this company three years ago. The salesperson did not do a good job in informing us that we were locked into the contract with an auto renewing clause.
