So they sent me this bunk barebones kit for Christmas. All of the parts had good ratings on their site. Graphics card was flat out broken. Motherboard had ports failing. High wattage power supply was unreliable. Not too great for a highly rated kit! Tried to return the garbage, but EVERY SINGLE ITEM save two cheap sticks of RAM were not accepted for return by this worthless company. They ought to be sued out of business. I recently had to call the "security verification" dept. 18889998800 it pretty odd when they ask me questions sounding like i'm filling out information to pull up my credit report. why? so they explained to me that they don't have any further information about me but some questions are off from public records? it made me feel like identity theft creeping up around the corner. but i remember a saying that "do not give out your social security number or date of birth" which that dept did not as... Tiger direct is awesome... I have been using them for my computer needs for years. Service is always quick, and ordering is always painless. I used to order from TigerDirect all the time without any problems. I have now found the wonderful light of God that is Newegg so I don't order from TigerDirect often but I have never had any problems with them. Their products, packaging, and shipping have all been on par. I recently purchased an item from Tiger Direct for which their was a coupon code. Upon placing the order and paying for it using Pay Pal with an instant withdrawal from my bank, I noticed that I had not been credited with the $20 value of the coupon code. I purchased a blu-rey player at Christmas. When it arrived it dii not work. I called tiger direct customer service. They told me I could send it back at my expense and wait 2 weeks for another one to be sent out. Or I could purchase another player and send back the original one. This company sells "refurbished" electronics and buries that fact in the product description. I made a purchase of a monitor in August of 2009 and did not pay close enough attention to the description as I should have used a magnifying glass to read the specs and then I MAYBE would have noticed this fact {my bad}. tiger direct is the worst possible place to buy pc parts from. I have had two negative experiences with them. Both items came defective and both times I had to wait very long periods of time for a refund. My most recent order was over 2 weeks ago and I still have no refund. Somehow I was signed up for TigerDirect.com's email list - I have never purchased anything from them. Consequently, I receive two emails a day from their ad system. This is the first time I order anything from Tigerdirect and I am very disappointed. I purchased a 52" Sony Bravia TV Black Friday 2009 and the promise ship date was Dec 1 to arrive by Dec 7th. I have been a customer of TigerDirect since 2006. In every instance, the product(s) that I ordered were on my front doorstep within 3 or 4 days. It is very rare that any of the products they sell are damaged or missing something or not working. They do use UPS and not FedEx, but UPS is fine. Their prices are really hard to beat anywhere else. Excellent customer service. I have been working with this company for about a year now. From the details the sales reps have they do their best to match your needs. I have had an instance where the description of a laptop power supply did not meet its actual capability. This was a manufacturer problem, not a problem with TigerDirect. I love TigerDirect. I have ordered from them for since 2003 and I never ever had a problem. I always get refurbished items from them and I think only one time I got a laptop that was a lemon. We had gotten the extended service plan and exchanged it with no problem. Their shipping is like magic. It never took more than 2 days for me to receive my order, no matter where I lived.
