The key is keep communication with your financial institution. Don't wait until it's bad to then try and work something out. Don't pay out money to some unknown party who claims they can help you. Listen very carefully to each phone call that comes in to you claiming they can help you most of these people claiming they can help are scams. Do not trust these a**holes at GMA Loan Modification they will take your money! I spoke to SERGE RUDCO and RICK SUAREZ and they took a $250 down payment then asked for $1700 to get their specialist on my case....never heard from them again! GMA Financial....SCAM, SCAM, SCAM I was scamed out of $1700.00 from this company with word from William C. that my modification could be done. I even received a certificate of approval...and yes I still have it. After around and around with him NOT knowing what he was doing, my file was then given to Fredricka T. We applied for a loan modification from GMA months ago and tried to contact them continuously to no avail. We paid them $1200 upfront and have heard nothing from them on where our loan modification stands. After not hearing anything from them we sent them an email raising our concerns. Do not trust this company; I feel betrayed and mislead by GMA. I have been dealing with them for 15 months, my modification was disapprove and they will not send me my refund, which they guaranteed if they could not obtain a modification. My home was about to go into foreclosure because they advised me to make my mortgage payments late. All of this has been on big lie and joke. I do not know about the other customers, but to me GMA was highly honest. After I paid to 1000 dollars they modified my mortgage. Quaniel and Janice were extremely polite and took care of my case thoroughly. They really showed me that they were dedicated to work on my problem. This company lied to me to get my money in July/Aug 2009. I have not received a modification or refund. A representative had me so exited about having a lower note. They assured me I would get a modification in 15 to 30 days. It has been 6mo. All I have is less money for my children and I to live off. I feel violated by GMA. Anthony was great to work with. He closed my deal and was honest the entire time....no surprises with me. I started dealing with Ernest, but he was a conman. He told me had 22 years of experience, but sounded like a child. He would try to sound convincing, but obviously had very little knowledge of his field of historical trents. Get everything in writing! Don't trust anything they say!!! Get it in writing before you give them a penny! I've been lied to by Aviv and Ernest....two of the brokers. I was completely dissatisfied with the level of service.
