I'm waiting to see how Mercury handles the insurance problem - and $320 cost to me - that resulted from the driver of the truck losing the key to my car, the key to his own truck, and the keys of other cars loaded on the truck with mine. I don't have access to the trucker insurance so it rests with Mercury to take the next step. I've given them copies of the receipts via email. I booked Mercury Auto Transport weeks before I needed to have my car shipped from Arizona to Illinois. Jason couldn’t have been friendlier in the beginning, but when the days were getting closer and no driver was secured, I was getting concerned. I emailed, called and emailed Jason repeatedly. As a first time shipper had lots of quotes and calls with pricing all over the board. Chose Mercury because their email actually explained how shipping a car worked. Spoke with Kandy Kelly and found her knowledgeable and experienced. She explained the whole process and found the carrier in one day from posting. Carrier arrived a day late, then charged me more than quoted. Car arrived 4 days after expected date and 2 days after quoted delivery date. No contact whatsoever during delivery. I had a nightmare experience with Auto Transport 123 (I mean horrible)!! You read about these awful experiences, but always hope you won't have to go through one. Well, I did with Keith, Wayne and Christine at Auto Transport 123. Jim Gozde was an excellent person to handle my transfer!! I was able to keep in touch with him 24/7, if needed (did not need)--he handled my transfer within 24 hrs--had it set up & everything went well. I do NOT recommend Mercury. They transported my car a couple of months ago and did ~$2,000 of damage to my car. They ran into something with the front of my car. They have been very unresponsive; my husband has called them 20+ times in the last month, and they never call back. When he does actually reach someone, they ask him to call back later. Michael at Mercury auto transport was awsome.Im a military girl.Mercury gave me a discount of my brokerage fee.They made sure my car was picked up by a qualified driver.They were a little late but no problem.The driver informed me he had hit some trafic and would be delayed.The driver loaded the car delivered it on time and safely.I had great communication through the whole process ,and was satisfied with Mercury.I would definately use them again . I called Mercury after having a bad experience with All State and was told by the company that they would be able to help but would have to change carriers to get to New Mexico from Ct. Jim Gozde was my go between with the transporter. His experience and knowledge of this business really showed. The only problems I had was due to my part which was unexpected, but Jim rallied to my problem and got it solved quickly. The price was reasonable considering my situation. I worked with Mitch at Mercury Auto Transport. I am in the military, and because of that I only got my final shipping date at the last minute. Mitch worked completely around my schedule, and even took the time to explain the process to my grandmother, who was at the receiving end so she would be on the same page as us. What these people say and what actually happens are two different things. I was told by Laki that I would receive 24hours notice on pick up, and the deposit would not be charged until the car was actually picked up. I did not receive the 24 hour notice, I received a phone call requesting immediate pick up, unfortunately this could not happen so the car was not picked up but I have been charged the deposit.
