I dropped my phone and applied for a repair via their website. I received an email with the information to send in the phone to a repair shop in Michigan. I would be without my phone for at least 1 week.

They did not tell me I could take it to a local repair shop and be reimbursed up to $100 in the email they sent me. I did not know that until it was too late--they only post that information on their website portal.

1. you have to submit request through email and there is no way you can talk to and explain the situation.

2. They will try a way to avoid replacing or repair the piece if there is an issue.

3. You have to pay for the shipping to ship the phone to their repair center in CA.

It's pretty disturbing that they only do claims with their web site form.

However, they came through for me. My screen was cracked but still functional, and I received a repair approval approximately 5 hours after I filed my claim. Just wanted to give reassurance to those out there in my situation. Read More »

emma j. posted a review

This company is a joke. When I activated the phones the representative said I could still add the protection plan so the next day I did on 10/6/11. My husband dropped his phone and shattered the screen. I have never written a review before and it's a shame that my first one has to be over such a negative experience with MDPA. This company thrives on denying claims for such trivial reasons as "personal neglect". If you are unfortunate enough to simply lose your phone as thousands of people do everyday of the year, don't expect MDPA to replace it. I purchased my Thunderbolt from Wirefly and they sold me on taking the coverage. I have 2 other phones I purchased directly from... Read More »

Paola M. posted a review

FRAUD FRAUD!!!!! I was hit by a cyclist in an intersection and my phone was knocked from my hand breaking the glass, otherwise still working condition. I sent it to them and they refused to fix it due to extensive corrosion/water damage. My phone was then lost in the mail upon it's return and I was given a hard time about them filing an insurance claim with the USPS. I doubt they bothered to insure it at all. It did show up eventually. Upon putting the battery back in I noticed the "void if altered" s... Read More »

Erin R. posted a review

DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY!
