I just spent an hour on the phone with these guys, thinking I was spending my time in a positive way, trying to reduce my payments and debt. At the end he would not let me off the phone without my bank routing number and account number. I explained I just wanted to review the numbers and their company, but he insisted he could not 'refer my ticket' (whatever that means) without my bank info-and that I would not be charged for one month anyway. I was sold by this company on a debt consolidation program because they could negotiate with my creditors through a law firm and lower my monthly payments. I asked what could happen if my creditors refused to work with them and I was told my creditors did not have a choice but to except this option.
