This firm saved my life. Perhaps a bit dramatic but I really feel that way. Admittedly I was a bit confused when I signed up with THE DEBT ANSWER for the debt settlement program and it took several explanations from the very helpful staff at Simon and Bocksch for it to finally sink in how it really worked. Wow. I’m almost in disbelief reading these reviews. I was in a debt settlement program and finished this past November and I am ECSTATIC! Simon & Bocksch was actually the Law Firm that did the negotiating for the program I had signed up with. I am shocked to read such bad reviews on them, and also shocked to NOT see anything positive! I had a very bad experience with this company. We used them to settle our debt and I ended up making most of the phone calls to the creditors and doing all the leg work myself. They do nothing as far as contacting your creditors unless you stay on top of them. We had 4 accounts that they were to settle and they only settled one without my assistance and this creditor had to actually call them. I also signed up with the debt answer and was told this law firm would be settling my debt. I signed up in January and just cancelled my contract this month. I paid this company $800 to contact my creditors. However, they did not. So, my credit report now shows me have 5-90day late payments and my creditors tacked on about $1500 of fees and charges. This company is suppose to be working with The Debt Answer to help manage debts. We have made many attempt to contact the company, but Angie our contact at 866-446-0969 does not return any of our calls. The companies that they are suppose to be working with have not heard anything from them either. We need to stop the automatic payment for the debt settlement... Read More »
