Had a nightmarish ordeal with this company at the end of 2009 regarding multiple defective memory DIMMs. I had OCZ memory that failed within its warranty period. I returned it to OCZ for replacement (10/12). The cost of shipping the defective memory was on me. Received replacement memory a week and a half later and it was bad out of the box. Will I bought an ssd from then only to get it dead in a few weeks its ok if they didn't block me out of there forum ! they said my ip is in syria witch void the warranty ! im kuwaity I bought the ssd from amazone I got it in the us ! so if I put it in my laptop and fly with it to work in syria its a warrnty void ! please note that ssd might not e all that bad but after this I Will not buy nything of them ! and the one who blocked me was named ryderocz ! I contacted OCZ to follow up on my rebate, and they said their rebates take 8-10 weeks to process. It's now been four months, and their rebate is nowhere to be seen. I've contacted them again, but still have received no response. They take days to respond when they do respond. It seems that a delay this large must be intentional, and not a natural result of processing the rebate. NewEgg seems part of this operation - they offer "rebates" which are often hard to satisfy and then even if the rebate is approved, the payment is very delayed in arriving if it ever arrives. NewEgg and OCZ are forever off my list of potential vendors.I'd rather buy locally now, even if I pay a big premium. At least the customer service is usually better. Read More »
