Super active user gets thrown out. According to helpdesk because she is not active. They only look at the last login, but on a phone you don't have to login. They should check last activity. I have been a loyal user to IMVU since 2007, and all my problems started late 2011, when my account was hacked. I called and called IMVU so many times, but they couldn't do anything to get rid of the hacker. I had to disable my account that I had probably spent over 1,000$ on, and had to start new. Then, BAM! Just wanted to mention that my son was "duped" into providing a password which resulted in gaining access to credit card information and an attempt to buy ipods, ipads and other items at the apple store. Don't reccomend you let your 13 year olds sign up. They dont know enough about ecommerce, cons and crooks to NOT be fooled. My mistake and lazy parenting. Lesson learned. Their customer support is terrible. Most of their replies are automated. My account was banned with no notice. It took 11 help tickets and 25 messages to them over 3 months just to get a response other than, "Your account was found guilty by association. Imvu is not good, you can often get easily banned, what they called disabled, many have complained of being on there some years, having spent thousands of dollars and suddenly one day they can not access their account. How is it that people and avatars are banned for 3000 days and that is 8 years.. and after 8 years has passed you can get your account back. But imvu.com says the account is disabled when in fact your avatar's name doesn't have the disabled and the numbers after it. Imvu has crashed 4 of my computer's. They could not be saved and my husband is a computer expert. 3seriona3 account for some reason can not verify my age yet I have the badge. I have had any response from costumer service that has helped me yet. personally THE ONLY GOOD THING ABOUT IMVU IS THE FRIENDS I'VE MADE there customer service is laughable at best. Don't ever get involved with IMVU. The company, time and again, proves that the only appeal to its service is the friends you make on IMVU. The company itself is known by its own community as not only bad programming but also for its bad policies. I am not happy with imvu.com. ever since the last update music I have bought on the site. Went from full length to 20secs. I wouldn't have such a big deal about it. If it wasn't for that they didn't notify me or sent my credits back to me that I spent on the music. As a long time user of imvu I feel I need to point out a management flaw in the way the service is run. Instead of fixing long standing existing bugs in the client, they continue to add new features, many that the users scream they do not want. Until imvu gets their act together, it is not a wise investment of anyone's money. If someone needs to try it out, do not waste any money upgrading to an AP account, the experience is the same. I am a member on IMVU, until they BANNED my account after submitting a help ticket to remove my CHILDs ACCOUNT from IMVU. Their staff seems to be ignorant of how the help ticket forms are set out for users and do not read the full forms. They also do not take the time to CONTACT the user when phone numbers are provided for such a thing within the help ticket itself.
