After 3 interviews and ~2 months waiting I got my dream job, but here’s where things get worse. After I signed a contact with IDC, I learnt I wasn’t working for them but under 3 subsidiary companies owned by IBM. IDC failed to communicate between these companies. From day one the London office has a slap dash approach to everything. Their phone staff can barely speak English and they're sitting so close to their colleagues that you can hear other conversations clearly. They are incapable of answering basic questions over the phone and email and their GDPR compliance is shoddy. Couldn't find a comprehensive Prateek Gattani wiki (CEO of IDC) and I was a bit concerned, truth be told, when I was asked to appear for a rushed interview last minute, let’s face it, this can be a red flag. IDC Technologies India has locations in Bangalore, Chennai, Coimbatore, Hyderabad, Lucknow, Noida, Pune and Visakhapatnam. My experience with IDC branches in Bangalore and Noida was really good. Working as a contractor since 2007, I have come to know that staff at IDC are very dedicated to helping people and making lives easier. They have also been regular with their payments. The IDC Technologies CEO Prateek Gattani directly hired me and let me say that if you can't produce you will NOT stay afloat here. The internal evaluation system rewards those that perform - if you can't perform you are unlikely to stick around. My income is directly related to effort. Being cancelled on is one of the most horrible job situations I’ve ever had to deal with. After having trouble continuing the project due to funding, then the permits weren’t approved by the city and the entire project was shut down while I was on the way there. Few months ago I got a great project that IDC found for me and explained and prepared me for. I had to relocate and I was fine with that. However, the company that hired me terminated the contract. I've had 1 succesfull project with them so far. I hope I will work on the next soon. The pay was on time, which I really liked. The project description was fairly clear, but it was easy to see that I was placed on a project that was slightly above my skill set. However, I enjoyed that. Few weeks ago I got a contracting job through IDC and I needed to relocate. When I was relocated, I was stunned, the company that I needed to work for changed their mind and canceled the job. IDC covered the relocation costs but I felt urge to find another contract fast. This wasn't IDC's fault though.
