I too hired legal home loan solutions to help with a loan modification in 2010. I paid this company $2700 and as soon as they received this money they stopped returning my calls and emails. WE CONTACTED THIS COMPANY AND THEY PROMISED TO HELP US THAT THEY HAVE HELPED MANY PEOPLE WE SET UP A PAYMENT PLAN TO PAY THERE FEE EVERYTHING LOOKED PROMISING. AFTER NUMEROUS CALLS AND LEFT MESSAGES AND EMAILS WE CAME TO RECEIVE A LETTER STATING THAT THEY ARE NO LONGER IN BUSINESS. SCAM We were told that our home would be modified in 2010. Paid these guys 2k. Funny part is they are writing letters that they went bankrupt. On Jan. 15th 2010. I paid Legal Home Solutions to work on a home loan modification. I have gone through four (5) different people working on my case. It seems that every few months someone else handles it. When you try to contact them you get a voicemail and very difficult to get assistance. I am now out my money paid. We paid this firm $2500 a year and a half ago, and still aren't in permanent loan modification, as they promised. Every 6 months, we have to go through the same thing of sending the mortgage company financial info. This firm has a hard time keeping people who can complete the work. Yes, I received a letter from them 2 weeks ago dated December 22nd, that they had closed and if you want your information to send in a request. I had been with them since March 2009 and still have not gotten a modification loan. OMG, DO NOT DEAL WITH THESE PEOPLE!!! Talk about a major scam. They led me to believe that they were working for me when in actuality all they wanted was my $$ & then leave me defending for myself (again). LEGAL HOME LOAN SOLUTIONS & Thomas Matevia attorney are frauds. After 16 months and 4 processors later, tireless & phone calls and emails with no response. I signed up with Legal Home Loan Solutions after hearing that they truly do work with their clients and the banks to assist with your loan modification. I recently received a letter conveniently after I paid off my account with them stating that due to unforeseeable, unanticipated and continuous changes they had to close their office and could not represent me. I have been working with this firm for a while now. I have received an offer in which I was saving about $200 a month. They told me to go back and let them renegotiate so now I'm waiting for another offer from the bank. So far it's been a good experience. I get a phone call from my negotiator every week with an update on her progress. They have been very helpful and it makes me feel like there is someone out there that wants to help. This was an incredible experience working with this Law Firm! I was treated with the utmost respect when dealing with my hardship. My mortgage payment was $2,900 with PITI and my interest rate was 9.5%. I didn't think there was any help out there as was told by my lender I didn't qualify. I had the best experience with this company, I signed up with them in May 2010 and I had weekly updates from my negotiator with monthly request for updated pay stubs and bank statements. They really worked amazingly on my file as this was a rather stressful time for my family and I. Gratefully, we received our Permanent Modification in September. Stay away from this company. They are a total ripoff. As many have said here previously, they review your situation with you over the phone, gather financial information from you and then convince you that you qualify for a modification program that is available. Be away from this office , they are cheaters and catch hold of innocents people and collect money . I am one of the victim. Stay away!!! I signed up with them 5 months ago and it has been a terrible ride. After the first day, information became lacking and sketchy at best. No updates were provided. Calls took two weeks to return. No one contacted me unless I asked them to. Their status website was never online. I have not been able to speak directly with "negotiator" throughout this ordeal.
