This is the complaint I filed with the Better Business Bureau against WWVL: WWVL did not fulfill the terms of our contract. I provided WWVL with an extensive inventory list, and WWVL estimated the size and weight of the load (1461 cubic feet and 10225 pounds). WWVL did not show up within the 48-hour pickup window, and, when they did show up two days later, they arrived in a truck that was already 2/3 full with other loads. Moving is not one of my favorite things to do, and since my company is always relocating me I often have to hire moving companies. I have used moving companies from the east to the west and by far these guys are the best of the best. I have had nothing but problems with this company since I gave them a deposit to make the move from Oklahoma to Oregon for me. My belongings have still not arrived. I incurred an additional months rent to them being late picking up my belongings. I have sent several emails and left voice messages and not a single person has responded. We were quoted by around 10 moving companies and it is very hard to determine which are reputable and honest. We went with the company with the best reviews overall in the web. Our sales rep Lance was extremely polite, professional, and really made me feel at ease. We set up a pick up date for October 11th and I was estimated at 20,419 lbs. plus we had a lot of packing we paid for. I used world wide van lines to move me to Las Vegas and it was a very street free move the only issue I had was they took 11 days to deliver but I guess it wasn't bad since it was across the whole country. On the night of the move the crew worked tirelessly late into the night with fine and friendly attitudes the whole way through. We used World Wide Van LInes to move from Kansas City, Kansas to Troy , Michigan in Febuary. The sales person phindy was great very polite and knowledgeable. The packers arrived the day before the movers, and they were very polite and courteous. They packed with amazing efficiency, and were very careful with our belongings. Got quotes from other "top" moving companies and their rates were double you need to be carefull you don't always get what you pay fore. World Wide Van Lines was professional, reliable and great to work with. Do not do business with this company! My wife and I were moving from Albuquerque to Dallas in November of 2010, we set up the move a month in advance with Chase at World Van Lines. They charged our card the deposit (20% of the expected total) and told us they'd be there on 11/20/2010 at 9 AM sharp. I recently completed a cross country move (Boston to Portland) and used World Wide Van Lines . I had gotten quotes from 2 of the other large companies and the World Wide Quote was the least expensive. I got them to give me a guaranteed not to exceed quote which saved me hundreds of dollars in the end because they underestimated the weight of my shipment. Very happy with the service, the movers were really easy to work with. We downsized homes to move out of state and still had too much stuff but they worked with me getting everything into the new house. They did not complain when I asked them to move a few things around to make it fit better. My wife came across this company during our search for moving services for our recent relocation from Maine to Florida. Wish I had read these reviews before I signed up with World Wide Van Lines. They cost me over $1,300.00 in damages and lost items. The delivery man treated my belongings like they were trash. Strapped my box springs on the back of his truck and of course it reained that night so to box springs were soaked. Important for anyone looking or considering hiring this company for a relocation. They are by far the worst moving service we have ever used. We are in our late 60's, retired and have moved about 10 times over the last 40 years and have had some great movers and some not so great movers, this company fell into neither category, they were flat out terrible in every aspect. Whoever they have writing the positive reviews should get a raise because they are for sure employees or management with this company if this can be called a company. Just a terrible company that doesn't even deserve the 1 star that we must give them. I cant speak for anyone other than myself but what I can say is that our move was flawless in almost every sense. The World Wide staff was very knowledgeable with us and all our questions before the move took place. The only issue we had was the amount of days it took to deliver but we were told beforehand that it could be up to 14 days going cross country.
