My parents had done a loan modification through this company back in January 2010. They sent them everything they requested and were charged $1750.00 to get their mortgage loan modified. This company told my parents that their property taxes were included in the modification. So, my mom thought that the taxes were being paid. I contacted this company in may of 2010 sent them all the needed info within days and they did contact my mortgage company with the limited power of attorney papers stating that they were going to represent us well then after that heard nothing else, i called and called the company and got nothing so i called my mortgage company guess what they received nothing else either so i had to resend everything to my mortgage company and long story short finially got in touch with the company requeste... I too was taken by ARLG - 1950.00 and nothing but empty promises and they could never answer my questions. So after 6 months of phone calls, emails, faxes (the same info over and over again). I told them to give me money back or I was going to contact the Florida Bar Association. They refused so I completed a complaint form and sent it in. My attorney was Jay Montenegro with American Residential Law Firm. After giving them ALL our personal information, our social security number, all the tons of paperwork they requested and of course the $2,500. Once we paid them the money, they refused to return our calls, faxes, emails, etc. for an entire year. They did NOTHING for the $2,500. They started off fine with me. Had all the fine treatment until mid December 2010. They no longer return calls, now their phones are disconnected. I made my initial contact with American Residential Law Group (ARLG) them 10/29/10. I submitted all information right away, signed necessary authorizations and contractions, and made two payments which completed the amount due them. Now they won't return my calls or e-mails. Joel Jacobi (the attorney/partner of ARLG) was suspended by the Florida BAR. I paid the American Residential Law Group (ARLG) over $7000 10 months ago to represent my two homes and get a modification for my mortgages. Craig Cohen was the front man and the first liar to represent the company. He assured me that the process would take 45 to 90 days to be completed because they work attorney to attorney to streamline the process. I initiated my contract back in September 2010 with ARL. I sent them documents after documents on a monthly basis. In late November, they contacted me to inform me that my case went to mitigation to work out with Bank of America. In December, I changed jobs to a full time position with more pay. I would say to all asking this company is a scam. They took my money and did nothing for me with my lender I have had to try and save my house myself. I would definitly not recommend them to anyone who wants to stay in their home and not spend money for nothing. Read More »

In June of 2010 I found this law firm on the Internet and decided to hire them to help me modify my loan with Chase Bank. I had personally tried to do a modification with Chase Bank that drug on for a year and a half of making trial payments.. that were $400.00 higher than my original payments on the note. We paid your company, ARLG $2500 and you didn't do a thing for us. In fact we found out our home was going to be foreclosed on from a family member who read it in the paper. When we contacted your company (after numerous calls) you had no idea. Basically we paid $2500 for your company to receive our faxes (bank statements, etc). seems good guys....and listen, its not like the retainer is 10,000 bucks or even close. so it makes sense to take a gamble with them since they have been seen on MSNBC and are supported by the attorney general of florida. yes they are accredited with the better business bureau but only for a short time. hey at least they're with the BBB. their website is www.arlgnow.com. their retainer is based on how much ur balance is on the loan and if there's a sale date or not. longer then I had thought. GMAC had offered me a settlement-- haha- the same rate I was paying before I started but now with escrow and insurance added in- which I had alway managed to pay myself.
