This company goes by several names: Batteryshopcanada.ca Bilatek.ca Bilatek.com Sunvalleytek.com Hootoo.com I received a defective Acer laptop battery. It did not charge at all. I filled out an on-line RMA request (required) and sent photos of the item also as required. I did not hear from them for 4 days (their website says they will respond with 48 hours). I bought a LCD for a Macbook from www.hootoo.com on the internet. They shipped a 14 inch screen that was the wrong part. OK - Everybody makes mistakes. I informed them of the error and they said I had to pay for the return shipping - which is absurd seeing how they were the ones that shipped the wrong part. I bought a car charger for my iPhone from them. Their delivery is faster than I expect, only two days since I placed the order. I quite like the car charger which helps me a lot, it works perfectly with my iPhone. Will definitely deal with Hootoo again. Read More »

I do not suggest that a person use this company, Sunvalleytek aka www.HooToo.com aka www.papatek.com if you do you may not receive what you order and might be charged twice because of it. I ordered a simple part and was shipped the wrong item. One item on the order and they get it wrong. From the reviews I have seen, this is a common problem. Routinely sending out the wrong part seems like it is more than just negligence. Submitted RMA request online. After five days I tried calling and all I got was the automated system telling me to wait. Waited three more days and filed BBB complaint. Do not order through this company. I ordered a replacement laptop battery for my daughters Toshiba Satellite PC. I ordered the correct part but received another part number that was not compatible with my PC. I followed the RMA steps on the website and sent an e-mail telling them that the wrong battery was sent and I needed to return it for the correct one. Ordered (Oct 4th) correct screen part number - HooToo verified item part number I ordered via emaiil but still sent another part. After some go around with service fianlly received RMA (which is mandatory to return any itemm for any reason) - I returned item at my own expense in orginal packaging following their instructions (marking and paperwork included) via trackable means - they received item Nov 4th - they have never returned my payment or sent another item. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY! SCAM SCAM SCAM! I ordered a part from them and after a week of no confirmation on their end (even though the money was taken immediately via paypal) i emailed those idiots and heard nothing. Same as first review. Unable to reach some one on phone or email. o-lcd was the sub company I purchased from. After almost 3 weeks I received Item shipped direct from china even tho item ordered (laptop lcd) said in stock. Item I recieved is bad and unable to contact company to get replacement or money returned. Filed a dispute with BBB and a claim on my credit card bill but this takes between 1 to two months. Do not buy from this company! Very poor Customer Service, Inaccurate Item descriptions and compatibilities. Prices are admittedly competitive but research the part number elsewhere to insure your getting the right part they like to sell the wrong part to charge a restocking fee. I was only able to get any kind of satisfactory resolutions (bought 2 items both misrepresented) by going through an intermediary to fight for me in this case it was eBay. Read More »
