I had set up Dates when i would be home and even arranged dates that would be good to go ahead and ship the PC so that it would arrive when I got home or very close after. I spend right at 8500 for a set up arranged to be able to have the system sent out 11th or 14th provided it was ready. Recently (Jan 2022) bought a 6K computer and it arrived working fine. After about three months the motherboard failed and after dealing with customer service for a time, they agreed that it was faulty and asked me to return the computer to have the motherboard replaced. I ordered a $6,000+ custom built computer on 8/11/2021. The computer arrived 9/4/2021. Upon set up, the computer shuts itself down after 2 minutes with error code: CPU is overheating. As a developer and video editor I need a high-speed workstation, and Origin's L-Class Studio desktop was a great fit. Origin's focus on "great customer support" also appealed to me. Put in the order over a month ago. It finally got past them just taking my money and updating that the order is created. The next step should have been parts selection, but it skipped that and went to assembly. went through their order configuration, spent a lot of time spec'ing out exactly what I wanted and clicked buy. Took a little longer to get here than I'd like, but hey. Saved me the headache of building it myself and it just works. Software I asked for had been in stalled and seems to run great. Good communication from Origin throughout the order process. I bought an Origin PC Genesis 3 years ago (March 2017). They come with a hot-swappable hard drive bay. Origin advertised LIFETIME TECH SUPPORT w/ free labor on repairs, buyer pays shipping and parts cost. A pretty good warranty program I thought around the time of purchase. After 24 days of submitting the order, They are telling me they can give me an update next week about the shipping date when they start receiving inventory ... WTH !!! Just received a EON 17 SLX, and it ran for about 8 hours total over 1.5 days. Blue screen crash, then the unit failed to power up again. Am shipping it back for repairs. Unreal. Their customer service boasts 24/7 life-time support. This is false. I don't recommend Origin anymore than I recommend dell. Their diagnostics for troubleshooting composes of 3 programs. When the results don't fit into their cookie-cutter solutions, they instantly recommend refunding or depot repairing the laptop. The catch? Got my laptop in 2014, took a long time from when I ordered to when I actually received it. Worked awesome when I got it, but then I realized that the wireless card only had 2.4 GHz (which was not shown when I built it), so I had them upgrade the card, but now it is failing and guess what...this card is no longer made AND my system will not take another card. I have owned the unit for less than one year but have seldom used it. My first impressions were not that good because of the fit and finish. The carbon fiber panels do not fit right which makes it very difficult to install/remove. The top of the unit is a poor quality plastic that also does not fit right. I purchased an EON15-X 10-Series decked with a GTX 1070, i7 6700k, 16GB of ram, and a Samsung 950 pro 512GB. The performance is flawless, and it stays cool thanks to the great cooling system. Did I mention this is a laptop? It has desktop performance, yet I can bring it with me wherever I go without having to worry about bringing a monitor, a desktop, and a keyboard. Received my new laptop a day earlier than expected, and I was blown away by the performance. I did unfortunately have a motherboard problem after about a week, so I contacted Origin. They told me to check a couple things, but I had to send it in. They paid for the shipping of the system to them, and I received it in a little over a week. After that it was smooth sailing. I bought a Chronos desktop from Origin after a few weeks of research, and couldn't be happier with the purchase. It's a great-looking system that handles my video editing and other demanding tasks without breaking a sweat. Customer service was very responsive, both before and after the purchase. Did a ton of research, and comparing apples to apples regarding components and extra features, Origin was the least expensive and had the best experience for a high-end build. I ordered a Chronos with Nvidia 1080 GTX, i7 Skylake, and an ASRock Fatal1ty mobo. It took a few weeks for the order to be completed and shipped. However, it was absolutely worth the wait. With the release of their newer EVO15-S, Origin has really stepped up the standard for performance in portability. I'm using my new laptop for work and pleasure and it is zipping through everything I throw at it. In an era where AI bots are taking over customer service, drones drop off broken packages (well not quite yet, but you get the idea) and manufacturing seems to be a race to the bottom to squeeze every last penny even if that sacrifices quality, Origin PC bucks the trends.
