I purchased a steering rack with a lifetime warranty on E-Bay, within a couple of weeks it leaks like a sieve. I have called them and they don't answer their phone, I have E-Mailed them but no answer. By reading their reviews I see they go by different names and are no longer doing business on E-Bay Probably due to all the Negative comments. Their products are Junk at best, BE WARNED. Read More »

I FOUND ON EBAY ON FORUMS THAT THIS PEOPLE WAS REMOVED OFF THE EBAY AND NOW HAVE A NEW ACCOUNT ON EBAY AS ANOTHER COMPANY. THEY ARE NOW AMERICANO STEERING ON EBAY AND THEY CHANGE THEIR WEBSITE OF STEERINGPART.COM TO AMERICAN STEERING WWW.STEERINGRACKANDPINION.COM THIS PEOPLE TOOK MY MONEY AND SENT ME A PART THAT LEAK WORST THAN OLD PART. In June 2011, We purchased a power steering pump for a land rover after having it installed and paying for expensive fluid the mechanic said the pump leaked. We then had to pay to have it removed, and a factory part put in with new expensive fluid. What went from a $300 expense turned into a $1200 expense just for a power steering pump. I purchased a rebuilt rack for my 92 Honda Accord from Garo Steering on Ebay, and upon installation it leaked a lot of fluid. I emailed and they sent a replacement out very quickly, but it showed signs of seepage upon installing. I decided to give this one time to break-in, to see if it got better. I noticed that they have a non-rating with the BBB. Like everyone says, this business is a scam. They owe me some $90 in cores. Ebay doesn't care, paypal doesn't care. I really wish the BBB would take some real action. If anyone has a real actionable plan, count me in. If this allowed me to give negative stars, I would. They still owe me my core fee of $300. Contacting the BBB didn't help because they just lied time after time. I have enough email correspondence to crush them in small claims court. I say we all file a joint claim against them. Read More »

I am in agreement with the rest. This company is a rip off. I also returned a wrong part they sent me. It has been since January and they still have not returned my money. I think we should get together and file a contingent of small claims against this company. They owe me $175, but it would be worth it to win in court and they pay all the court fees and my travel and time to go from NC to FL. This is the WORST company I have ever dealt with! I wonder if they are even licensed to do business. No one answers the phone and all voice mail boxes for customer service are always full. When I ordered my part, the first shipment was lost. The second time it shipped,they sent the wrong part and then when the part was returned, they refused to refund my money. Garo steering has gone the extra mile time after time. With quality parts and service you can't ask for a better shop. I take my vehicles here for all front end work. This company sells a very poor quality product through Amazon and Ebay. I purchased a unit in October of 2010, and installed it shortly there after. By January the unit was leaking from both ends and the rubber boot on the passenger side was rotted away. In addition, they promised a refund of $30 for the old unit (core) that I returned in November. This Company ( I'm not really sure if it's a company) is the WORST to deal with. It's so hard to get someone to answer your call, all you get is an answering machine and their voice mail box is FULL and can't accept any messages. I can honestly say that the service this company provides is well organized and professional. Their customer service was pretty impressive also. They were polite and well-mannered, they even sent me an email to thank me for my order and advised me when to expect it. I have to add here few facts about this company. I ordered steering for MR2, came and installed, was no problem. Then I needed steering for M3 so logically I came again here (had good previous experience). They charged 400 USD for this. I purchased a Rack and Pinion for my 07 IS250 and paid Garo Steering (sam rack and pinion) but they sent me the wrong rack and pinion the first time. They then told me to to remove my car's rack and pinion so they can match it up and send me the right one.
