My son is still traumatized from having swim lessons from Mr.Pete 5 years ago. I thought he would eventually get over the swim lessons and the trauma it caused and love swimming again. However it's been a very long struggle to get my son to go swimming again and love it like he did before the lessons. I wish we didn't have these lessons and would have gone with traditional swim lessons instead. The only way it has prevented my son from drowning is because he would avoid the water at all costs... CReWS Swimming is absolutely amazing. I saw an add and responded to it. Could not believe that you could learn to swim in 4 days. My 5 year old son had taken classes from Waterworks in Irvine and in the Aquatic club in Costa Mesa but to my dismay he just could not learn how to swim. Crews Swimming for kids was a life changing experience for my family. It is the best money I've ever spent. The instructor told me what I was to expect during each of the lessons and I was pleased that he prepared me well. My confidence grew in the program after just the first lesson, I saw how well my 3 1/2year old responded to the instruction. Pete worked with my two year old twins in September 2012 for five days. He was incredibly gentle and loving with them throughout the entire process. Not having much pool experience, they didn't enjoy being let go in the water, but even when upset, Pete's expertise won over, and they quickly learned to swim to the edge of the pool. They did move past the crying, for the most part, and it was incredibly heartwarming to see them give Pete hugs and high fives every time they got out of the pool. ... Read More »

Our experience with Mr. Pete was And still is great. We have met him 3 years ago, while I was looking for a class where my 3 year old could become water safe. Mr. Pete came over to our pool, very professional, very military, which I have found out later. At that time, the class was spread during 10 days, 10 min. each day. My son is 4 and had been at Austrailian Swim School for almost two years and still was not confident in the pool. Thanks to Pete, he is confident and does not rely on mommy or daddy to help him if he gets into a tough situation...he swims to the side and can get out of the water all on his own--in 4 days. My 22 month old daughter had never been in a pool before working with Pete, but after 4 days (8-10 minute lessons) with Pete, she can find the edge and get herself out of the pool by herslef... we signed up our 3 kids with swim2pete this summer ... they are ages 6, 4 and 24 months ... none of my kids could swim prior to starting and the older two were afraid of the water - kicked and screamed if you ever took them into the water further than the edge or steps of the pool ... every day i saw progress in the kids ... their confidence, ability and comfort in the water grew ... pete is wonderful w/the kids and they were begging for more lessons after our last ... the result ... my older... We had a great experience with our two daughters last year. We did our two weeks of lessons in May and they both swam all summer! This year we gave him a call to "refresh" the girls and within minutes they were both swimming to the side and hopping out of the pool! Read More »
