He was interested in selling my timeshare at The Cottages, Myrtle Beach, SC. After several minutes the fact that he sounded very sincere, I agreed to forward the $1,500 to him. He then quoted to me that he had a buyer for my property and if I sent the title company $1,600 they would process all the paperwork for the transfer. I even was given the names of the people th... Read More »

Robert L. posted a review

I received a call at 6:10 pm 11/19/10 from a Michael Jones saying that he had buyers for timeshare units we have for sale (much the same as previous reviewers). He gave me Universal Financial Services name and address as the business he worked for. The caller ID number is a Florida cell phone (1-305-433-3654) which raised a red flag. He was asking for $1895 for documentary and title transfer fees (they would not be that high for the properties we have). Stated he had offers from buyers that w... Read More »

Gary M. posted a review

I received a phone call by a person named Michael Jones using the name of this company and their address, but with a 800 phone #, with a business proposition regarding a time share that I hold in Orlando, Florida. He claimed he had a buyer for my property, and that the buyer was taking care of all of the closing costs, but I would have to pay $1,898 for documentation and title transfer fees. When I requested he email me the information and the purchase offer,he did no hesitate to do so. When they sent my email some information, I checked the BBB and noticed the numbers did not match and called Mr. Mowbray listed with BBB as the president of Universal Financial Services and he called me back. Mr Mowbray informed me that his business did NOT resale timeshares and the JOHN MORGAN was running a scam - do not send him money and I thanked him for being a credible and upstanding business exa... Read More »

Julie L. posted a review

We have had an experience similar to the previous reviewer. My stepson was contacted on 10/15/10 about a time share he has for sale, by a John Morgan who claimed to work for Universal Financial Services. Mr. Morgan claimed he had a buyer for my stepson's time share who was ready and willing to pay even more than it is worth and asked for an upfront $2,000 payment for lawyer fees and deed transfer fee. He said the company would only take the payment in the form of a pre-paid credit card and ne... Read More »

Lynda A. posted a review

I have received a phone call by a person named Jerry Jones using the name of this company and their address, but with a phone number of 323 300 6277, with a business proposition regarding a time share that I hold in Orlando, Florida.
