Affordable Landscaping did a very good job at one of my rental property in Apple Valley,CA. I live down the hill and had received a notice for my property from code informt. I had less then 30 days to clean it up. I had not been at this property for about 20 years . It was a mess, weeds every where ,trash every where all the trees were dry and broken. We hired Affordable Landscaping for some tree trimming that we needed done. They came in and did it quickly and cleaned up everything. One of the trees was dieing so they removed it and cut up the wood for us to use. We were very happy with the service so when we wanted our front yard landscaped and a new front patio area done we called them again. These people are rip offs! Gave me estimate of $700 to remove weeds from front yard and use tractor in back yard. Then said for additional $500 they would use this special weed killing spray over entire front yard. Wouldn't have to worry about weeds for at least a couple of years. So I went ahead with it. Paid cash to avoid tax, which I'm not quite sure why there would be tax charged for a service. But anyway, they didn't give me a receipt when I paid. So I called several times just to get a... We hired this company to perform extensive yard cleanup (front & back). They spent only two days. The front yard was mostly cleaned up to our satisfaction; however, an additional day should have been allotted in finishing the job properly involving the back yard. It was a rushed effort on the second day and appears so with remnants of weeds here and there. In my experience with them, they don't stand behind their work. I've left several messages asking them to return my call and after two weeks am still waiting! In addition - pay by cash, no sales tax -- use credit card and you get charged sales tax not included in the quote and not mentioned until you pay the bill!
