I’ve met a lot of new people now that I’ve started college. I have made a lot of new friends too. I was talking to someone the other day and they were telling me about how they used to be an alcoholic. We talked for a long time and he told me that he went to Cliffside and he said such great things. I have a friend who struggled with addiction for a while. She had been to multiple different treatment centers and nothing worked for her and we didn’t know why. She decided to take a leap and go out to California and she visited Cliffside. She decided to stay there and see if that would do anything, it was kind of her last shot. I went to Cliffside about a year ago. I knew I needed to go to treatment but it was a hard decision finding a place for me to go. I ended up going to Cliffside and I am so happy I did. My experience was wonderful. I owe a lot to the doctors and therapists, they saved my life. I have been sober since I left and I don't remember the last time I was this healthy and this happy. Thank you so much for my wonderful sobriety-enriching experience at Cliffside Malibu. It was an exciting adventure to spend two weeks working on my fourth step and participating in the group process. You introduced me to other wonderful opportunities in recovery, including psychotherapy, yoga, equine therapy (wow!), and acupuncture. I never thought I could pull myself out of the depths of addiction until I called Cliffside Malibu 6 months ago. When you've gone through a couple rehabs, you start losing hope, and I desperately needed a rehab that could get me sober for good or else I would lose everything I had.
