My daughter was good at reading but she is by nature competitive. She wanted her reading level higher.Other students had gotten ahead of her and she wanted to catch up and be in the lead. I started with Acereader Pro a little over a year ago. My reading was about 175 wpm. I am now at 400 wpm. I am 66 years old and love to read. Here's how I worked the program: I would set the reading speed to 1500 wpm, after a few runs, I would adjust the speed to 700 wpm, after a few more runs at that speed, I would adjust the speed down to 200 wpm. I'm a homeschooler with six kids and we have been using ACE READER for over three years and it's the best product out there. I've tried one other highly ranked course but, It didn't have the structure you need to teach kids. I put it on course mode and locked all the changes out. I’ve been using AceReader Pro Deluxe since 2009. I had an activation issue after installing AceReader Pro Deluxe on a new laptop in May 2012. I emailed customer support for help. For many companies, emailing customer support is about as fun as a root canal or income taxes. However, within two hours of emailing AceReader I had a response and was back up and running. I've used AceReader Pro for a month, 30 minutes a day, and it has doubled my reading speed from 200wpm to 400wpm (without hindering comprehension).
