Hi, I visited this site and read a very negative review concerning Ovation, and mentioning Marc Allen by name. I’m writing this review not just for the company “Ovation Home Loans” but also for a few of their employees. I looked all over at local bank rates as well as the best loans on the internet. We had a straight forward refinance to do. We selected Ovation because they promised to move this along smoothly. They said they would give me a complete list of what to supply, and that would be it. After the initial info was supplied they came back two more times. Then they came back four more times, each time promising this was the last request. The tax penalty resulted from Ovation requesting me to stop payment on my property tax payment. I stopped payment and sent Ovation a cashier's check for the payment. Ovation was unable to make the payment and did not inform me that there was a problem with the payment. Read More »

To everyone out there looking for awesome customer support during the stressful process of a home loan or refi, I highly recommend Mr. Marc Allen, Sr. Loan Consultant with Ovation Home Loans. This is one of the worst loan institutions I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. They are a sham, completely ignorant of financial facts and do not what they are doing. Never had a worst experience with a loan company. My cedit is 800. Very low laon to value, make $300K per year W-2 yet they tool almost eight weeks to close. In doing some further research I have found out they have cut back almost the entire company yet held me hostage and acted as if they were a fast growing company. Abraham Arnous, I realized that this is my 4th house with 8th refinancing experience since 1987. Ovation Home Loan provided more customer service in the applying for the loan than any other company I’ve dealt with in my lifetime. I did inquiry through the internet that sent out my information to multiple lenders. Ovation Home Loans was the first lender to respond. I explain my financial situation to the senior loan officer. I learned today that I am "cleared to close" on the refinance of my home. I moved from a 30 year to a 15 year fixed, dropping more than 2.5 interest points in the process. Overall, I would rate my IRRRL VA refinance with Ovation as a success and I am glad I did it. I specifically dealt with Amir Bonja as my loan officer who consistently answered all my questions and went out of his way to find me the best possible terms on the loan. What a piece of crap this company is! They told us we were approved for a refinance. So we sent them $500 for the appraisal and DIDN'T pay our current mortgage because it was going to be paid off with the refinance. We thought it was all approved. I just finished refinancing my home which, in my case, was pretty confusing. My loan consultant was Ian Potter & he was great! He answered all my questions, returned all my phone calls & spent an enormous amount of time with me explaining every detail of what was going on with my loan.
