I made the mistake of attending a presentation by Timeshare Relief Inc aka Transfer Smart back in November 2010. It will soon be a year since I paid Transfer Smart several thousand dollars (yes, you read that right--several THOUSAND) to get me out of my timeshare. It has not been a good experience. When I was younger my husband and I decided to invest in a timeshare for our family. We used it a lot when our children were younger but now that they have grown up we hardly use it. So each year we are paying maintenance fees for a timeshare that we do not use and it was eating away at our finances. My husband and I just signed up for Transfer Smart after attendind a presentation. They are a little pricey but I guess I would have spent that money on future maintenance fees. Transfer Smart was a company that I was very hesitant to sign up with. With all the scams popping up everywhere I thought this was another one. However, after attending their presentation I decided to give them a try and see what happens. Several months later I received a call stating that I was timeshare free. I owned my timeshare for several years before I started realizing that the maintenance fees kept increasing. As the payments increased and the economy went down I could not keep up with the payments. I signed up to transfer 4 timeshares to Transfer Smart, LLC. I charged it on a credit card. I then rescinded the agreement within the 3 day time period and notified the company in writing, by fax and email.
