Was with company for 8 months in that time, my money was allocated to my credit cards with only 20% paid to my creditors but 40% was paid to Americor. They contacted 3 of my 6 lenders leaving me paying out a small percentage of my debt & leaving me with 3 creditors wanting to turn me over to collections. If I could give negative stars I would. The amount this company is charging me in fees between settlement fees and "RAM" fees far outweighs any benefit I am receiving. My credit has been ruined and by the time this is over I will be lucky to "only" have paid 90% of the debt, not the 50% they claim. They say this is outlined for the client but I am here to tell you that it is most definitely not. Especially all the fees they charge every month for the "RAM" payments. Stay away. I would have... Americor is a scam. Don't trust your friendly Account Rep. Make sure you read EVERY line of what you are signing because they will lie and mislead you. I was told on the phone that I would be out of debt in 2 years by paying close to $1K per month for 24 months. I now should have had 2 more payments left and they just extended it an additional 9 months without even notifying me. If you're stuck making your minimum credit card payments, stop right now. Then, call Americor. If I had continued to make minimum payments, it would've taken me 20 years to finally get rid of my debt. Fortunately, I got rid of all of my debt in just one-and-a-half years. Read More »

I was weary of working with a debt relief company but Americor changed my perspective. They were upfront about everything with me when I signed up with them. On top of that, they showed over and over again that they were dedicated to my cause, and they were ultra responsive. I've had dealings with debt relief companies in the past, but I never liked their approaches. For instance, I never wanted to default on my debt. But Americor is different. They actually listened to me and took an approach that reflected my wishes. I hated having so much debt. I was so nervous about how I could keep up with the payments plus cover possible emergencies. They offer to write off half of your debt. Basically, declare yourself bankrupt and pay them the money. The best part is that you must surrender your credit accounts before they give you the "credit". Is this really what it comes to nowadays? Tried to leave review on BBB, their response was: "we have no record of this client and believe this is a false review". Well, I do have a record of the conversation, like it or not. I feel she was ripped off ~ after I looked over contract my friend signed up for and got nothing but pre written letters she had to send out herself for what I thought was a lot of money.
