On April 14th of this year, I signed a contract with SDY Builders to cut and install a door in the side of my house and to build/install a gate and a covering for an air conditioning unit The estimated completion was by the 3rd of May. Instead, 5 weeks later only the door was finished and done shoddily. He agreed to cancel the contract which ran close to $4000 but would not accept the $2000 I'd already paid but wanted $1000 more.
