We did a news story about an expansion into another state. We were amazed and now a believer, we had radio stations asking to interview us which we took advantage of. I am a Realtor and I use NALA mainly as a branding mechanism. The fact that I am now in my second year with this company is an endorsement. In the past, most media marketing we bought was print based and even some broadcast on local radio, but by and large any small business that is not prominent online is missing out on a the segment of the consumer/customer who is. I signed up for NALA / TheNala / The National Association of Local Advertisers, and let them do what they promised me they would do for about five months before I cancelled. They say they will put your name all over the Internet, and help get you into Google Places and higher in search engine results. They failed in all respects. This company has been very professional with every step of the process. I had almost no Internet presence for my Auto Repair shop and within 2 months I was all over the place and getting more calls and jobs then ever. It's hard to know how much of it was from NALA because it's an exposure product but I haven't used anyone else but them so it most be from their efforts. Read More »

I was called and agreed to a 30 minute overview of the product and an evaluation of my internet presence. Much to my surprise the saleswoman was here for over an hour. OK, that was about the only 'issue' that I recall, (and it was my lunch hour) but had I asked her to leave and had she not politely responded to all of my objections and questions, I would have missed a valuable opportunity! They didn't provide the services in the contract, then started taking money from my bank account until I closed the account. They claimed they sent an email announcing that I'd be charged unless I opted out. Blah Blah. They are crooked, they steal.... DO NOT DEAL WITH THEM!!!! They are a fraud. Signed up for nala. they instantly took the money out of my account. then did not follow through with what the saleswomen said would happen after two weeks we got an e-mail says they would be contacting us in a couple of days. those couple of day turn to ten so i contacted nala after twenty days of being in contract only to get excuses not resolts. so after thirty days and 1700.00 dollars out of pocket my web listing that they have set up is not complete. when you do click on it says site not... Stay away from these crooks! They will take your money and you will never receive any traffic to your site. Trust me. I was told by my rep that I needed to be more patient and that it would take time. I contacted her boss and he told me that my ads were receiving many impressions. Not one click from the banner ads and zero phone calls. Something doesn't add up. 20,000 views per month and not one click to my site or call. Hmmm. I question the validity of these "impressions." I recommend The National Association of Local Advertisers. The sales rep came to my office and spent 45 mins walking me through their offerings and so far I am extremely satisfied. I particularly like the "Charity Branding" aspect of their program enabling small businesses like mine to be affiliated with a local, national or global organization. The pricing is hard to beat when I compared it with other alternatives. Read More »
