This is something I seldom do, giving praise before the deal is done. However if you are on the fence with this company, maybe I can reassure you to stick it out with Intercap Lending Inc. Starting in April 2013, they asked for all the usual things to do a "re-fi". I told Fred Lontajo that I (and my wife) were retired and on Social Security. After asking for many things and Fred telling me that they are a direct lender so there is no delay in processing a loan, they asked for a copy of the SS letters (each year SS sends you an eligibility letter stating how much you receive). I tried for over a year to refinance my house and was told excuse after excuse of why my house was not eligible for the HARP program. My best friend told me to call Intercap Lending and to talk to Jeff. Today my refinance closed. Jeff was the only person who took the time to figure out why I was being denied by other companies. I haven't closed my refinance yet, but expect to later this month. It has been a long time in the making, almost three months. However at this point in time, that is pretty standard for conventional financing. I recently applied for a streamline refinance on my FHA home loan. The process couldn't have been smoother. Arren, my rep, sent us all the paperwork and kept us informed on what the next step was. They even had a notary sent to our house to sign the docs. Now I am saving over $300 a month on my mortgage. It was a low cost and low hassle experience. My husband and I started in April 2012 trying to do a refi with our own lender(Chase)using the HARP program. as of today Oct. 2012 still no results ,just past around from agent to agent. I am thankful to have found this company to work with. I was turned down by other lenders because of my loan to value and lost any hope to save money on my payments. I work hard to pay all of my bills and they are the only ones that noticed. My agent did what he said and always followed through. Great company ! Being a newbie to the whole refinance thing I was worried that I would be ripped of and was hesitant to do business with them. DO NOT trust this company. We worked for MONTHS getting all the documents to the lender and they charged me $100 fee and when finally after two months we were able to get everything they demanded, I was passed along to Julie Sengsouvanth to finish our loan. Several days went by and I NEVER saw any documents then some other guy called on a Friday evening to schedule for a Notary to come out the following day to have the loan documents signed. This institution is full of liars. They will always tell you lower rates and once you are trapped, answer will be that rates are no longer valid. That is what happened in my case. I trusted these liars and messed up everything. They teach me a lesson and i would share with all of you. I worked with a loan rep at Intercap lending. They approved my loan and told me they only need a verification of employment in order to move to docs and close the refinance. I provided them the VOE within a week and they received all the information they needed. I followed up with them after a couple of days, and the loan rep told me that the rate is no longer available. Tried sreamline FHA refi with a loan officer in this company. This is very simple and not requiring much docs. However, LO did not follow up the case in timely and lost the rate lock. He said that he will extend the rate with increase of .25% but looks like he forgot. Now, he is saying that I am the one who did not responded in timely.
