Please don't take your animal here-take your animal to another Emergency or Critical Care place. Not only did Doctor Petra Johansson Holland misdiagnosis my dog, she said that my dog was experience growing pains from soft bone tissue. I took my dog to a real Vet that is licensed and asked for a second opinion and the x-rays clearly showed the damage to my dogs leg. It is truly sad that a vet that should take care of animals will turn them away if the owner cannot hand over a minimum of a grand before he will do anything. Only recommended to put my poor dog down after it was attacked by a coyote. If I could give no stars I would. Read More »

This was the second time we had to use this emergency vet,and I must say that Dr Sandu is a joke, very unfriendly and standoffish, no bedside manner what so ever, the staff was okay but all this girl does is sends you to the room and just keeps coming in the room like a car salesman with estimates on what they can do to save our pet , every time we say we cant afford it , first time $750, they come in with another $580 and then another $450 then they finally ask.."what can you afford? AV Animal ER has by far the best staff around. They all were so caring and loving when I brought my dog in. Everyone on staff no matter what time I came to visit my Bella were caring and loving. All the animals had wonderful attention. They took every precaution to make sure she was being provided the very best care possible. After a 2 day stay we got to take her home, she recovered perfectly. I can't begin to say Thank You enough. Your entire staff and facility is amazing. Read More »

With a heavy heart and tears in our eyes, we can honestly say that the AV Animal & Critical Care group were wonderful. They took one of the hardest decisions we had to make and made it easier with compassion and a genuine heart. I brought my dog Bailey in to see Dr. Sandhu. I would have sold my house to save my dog that night but he was so ill and his body was full of pain that we had to say goodbye to him. We had the most horrible experience at AV Animal ER. We took our cat in because he was crying and in pain but we did not know why or what had happened. The night that we took our cat there the staff and vet on duty had lead us to believe that our cat could be saved and that we would be able to take him home in the morning.
