Absolutely the best move I ever made. The Meathead Mover guys were incredibly energetic (even in 96 degree heat), strong, personable and intelligent. They know what they are doing and how to move. I even had several items I was worried about as they were old and valuable but those guys brought them through perfectly. What a great experience. I have moved many times in my life and I never used movers before. I always did it myself for 2 main reasons: 1) I thought I couldn't afford movers, and 2) I thought the movers would be careless with my items. I have to say when I first chose Meathead Movers as my moving company, I was a bit concerned. They weren't familiar with my area and were just breaking into the OC and I just had doubts. Moving is stressful. BUT was I wrong! My sales rep and moving team were fantastic! Excellent, professional moving company from start to finish. Most importantly of all, the young men who do the move at courteous and know what they are doing. I have used Meathead Movers for two moves. One was a local move and the other a move to the central valley. Both moves were completed professionally and under the cost estimate. Justin and John were GREAT!!!! I hired them for 2 hours to unload the truck. I thought that after the 2 hours were up, we would have to finish unloading, but the guys were sooooo fast they finished unloading the truck within the 2 hours. I used Meathead Movers twice last May. I was extremely pleased with the service. The guys were strong, clean cut, friendly and very efficient. Their customer service is exceptional. They sent an estimator out and he arrived on time; they call before they come on moving day to verify times and they do follow up calls after the move to check on you. These guys really know what they're doing. From the initial home visit all the way through the moving process they were professional, courteous, and operated like a well-oiled machine. I am the manager of a large real estate company in Santa Maria. I called for a quote and someone immediately responded. The quote was very competitive, but it was the service that blew me away. Those boys hustled! They were clean, great attitudes and worked very hard. The job took less time than expected so I even received a better price. It was the best moving experience I have ever had. I moved from Malibu to Avila Beach and my realtor recommended Meathead Movers. I've seen thier trucks before but haven't known anyone who has used their service. I was partically concerned with damage, especially since the last company I hired (Allied) not just damaged but literally thrashed my fruniture from my prior move. We recently used Meathead Movers and wanted to share our experience. We moved from Long Island out to Ventura in August. It was a challenging move in that we went from a 11,000sqf home to 5,800 sq ft. We had all of our things delivered to a large warehouse whe we came to the west coast, then hired Meatheads to coordinate the pack out. I have used Meathead movers three times over the last four years. My last move was 9 months ago back to CA. Having used them before, there was no doubt that the crew that would show up to unload the truck would be honest, clean cut, and fast working. As a result, I was able to stay in North Carolina an extra week while the Meatheads unloaded our truck without my supervision. We hired Meathead for a local move in 4/07. We hired them for two different days: one to help pack and one for the actual move. Here are the pros: The owner came to the house for a quote which was great, as most companies won't do that. The presentation and description seemed thorough. They were on time on move day.
