I am an attorney for almost 2-years now and I work as in-house counsel for a very well respected Fortune 500 insurance company. I took Bobby's class after having failed the CA Bar 3 times. It was a point in my life where I no longer thought I was going to pass. I had tried Barbri, Barpassers, Essay Advantage and other private tutors. On my first attempt of the California Bar Exam I took Kaplan Bar Prep. I did everything that the prep course asked me to do including; attending lectures, reading one hundred page long outlines, doing MBE questions and submitting essays and performance tests (PT’s) online. Each essay that came back from Kaplan was either a mark of “meets the standard expected” or “above the standard expected”. Open Book Bar Prep was amazing! I had failed with another Bar Prep course and had a low statistical chance of passing. I sat with Bobby for a free consultation and he administered a simulated essay question. Within 1 day, he was able to diagnose the problem and he came up with a custom-tailored calendar which focused on my needs. The one on one attention I received was critical for me. As a repeater, it was important for me to learn what the Bar expected from me, something that other courses didn't teach me. Open Book taught me what I needed to know to be able to pass the Bar! Thank You Open Book! Read More »

I took Open Book for its private tutoring to prepare for the Baby Bar and found it very helpful. I was over whelmed with the amount of information that I was dealing with and really didn't know what area to focus on anymore. Bobby did an excellent job breaking the information down for me in a way that I could understand and remember. He showed my why I was making the mistakes on my essays and showed me the right way to analyze the essays to get a higher score.I plan on using their private tut... Read More »
