We had several different companies give us presentations on Solar and the only company that was familiar with the City of Riverside Public Utilities and how they work was SolarMax. We had done our own homework on energy usage and Victor, our sales agent, was able to explain to us the advantages of Solar and ultimately SolarMax. My solar instillation has just been completed and I'm waiting on Edison to pull the switch. My sales rep David Shen was the best and really helpful in explaining the pros and cons. He really had my best interest in mind and was excellent on follow up. I had actually signed up with another company but after speaking with David, I switched to Solar Max. I can truly say that after checking out many other solar companies I choose the right one for my needs.Aaron was my representative and was more than helpful in explaining ,finding my needs and keeping me informed.The company did a wonderful job of installing as everything was done on schedule and neatly. I was approached by many different solar companies telling me the same thing "they could save me 15% to 30% on my electric bill if I went with their company." I work in the power generation industry and fully educated myself prior to bidding my residential solar project. After four excellent bids from four local and reputable companies, SolarMax won the bid on many levels. One main reason besides the normal items (quality, communications, customer service, etc.) was their ability to provide financing in-house which saved me thousands. I spoke with several solar companies before deciding to go with SolarMax. Dena Baldwin was the sales rep in my area and she was wonderful! She helped me get the financing since I didn't want to rent the system. She also kept me updated throughout the installation process and when there was an unanticipated expense (new electrical panel required) she offered to split the cost. We had our solar technology installed by Solar Max in December 2013. We had checked with other companies, but decided on Solar Max and are glad we did. From the sales meeting through installation all went smoothly. Along the way everything was explained and each process was demonstrated as needed. The short of it is Dan Cooley (our point of contact) went the extra mile for us, and SolarMax got the job done & done well. We love it! In the longer version: There were some obstacles that had to be overcome. The first one was that I was not willing to put up a solar system on our 25+ year old roof. The buying experience that I had with Solar Max was excellent in every way. I would strongly recommend that anyone considering a Solar system, or "PV" (Photovoltaic) as it is more correctly called, regard Solar Max as the first choice "go-to" company. We put our name on the Riverside Public Utilities list for a PV rebate in Sept 2012, as the rebates are released in April/May, and there are only 250 available. We were 35th on the list I recall. I contacted the HERO program after reading about their government solar program in the news. They recommended I contact SolarMax for the installation. My sales person was at my home on August 21, 2012. Today is April 1st and this is not an April Fool's joke, no one at that company is calling me to status me why they are unable to complete the install.
