I bought solar panels from Sungate Energy Solutions a couple months back. They did the permit process and installation of the system without a hitch. We sized the system to eliminate tiers 3 and 4 where the majority of the cost resides in your bill. Historically our bill was around $150 a month. Sungate made this process easy for me. They did everything on schedule and assisted me with issues dealing with my HOA as some of my neighbors did not like the height of my panels. I am delighted and excited to be a solar user. It was just installed in Oct. 2013 so I don't have enough info/use yet to see benefits (particularly since we are rapidly moving into winter!) The original presentation left me with some questions, so Ty Feneck came back with answers. The support team has been unfailingly competent and polite. The installation went smoothly with three guys who went out of their way (meaning one of them crawled under my back porch) to make the wiring of the system as unobtrusive as possible. Sungate is the third company we contacted and had a sales presentation at our home. The first guys were a bit pushy and the price $$$$$$, so we waited a couple of years and decided to look at solar again especially with SCE increasing the cost of electricity – doing away with the 3-tiers and going to a 9a-6p high rate. The sales representative really made my decision for solar installation very easy. Ruben was neither pushy nor schmoozy; he was knowledgeable and personable. They completed installation of a Sungate solar system on our roof on October 24, 2013. It is too early to tell what the cost benefits will actually be. Sungate made me an offer which was hard to refuse. Several discounts were available, savings in the electrical bill and the possibility that an increase to the appraised home value made my decision easy. Sungate did not get off to a good start with us, but they more than exceeded our expectations in the end. I have been assured that the call center has been spoken with about this. I had a positive experience with Sungate. The salesman was knowledgable and professional. He explained the system and the cost clearly. scheduling the installation was little more work that it needed to be. Sungate Energy Solutions recommended that we install enough panels to compensate for the majority our electrical usage. So we went ahead with their recommendation. One of the selling points for me was the panels they use are made in America. Now our power bill is much less than it was before and we didn't have to spend too much money to go solar. Our whole experience with Sungate has been great, it has exceeded all our expectations. Sungate installed twelve solar panels on the roof of my house. Sales presentation was good. Very informative. Customer Service during this process has been excellent so far. The installation of the panels did have an issue. It took two days to install the panels. On the night of the first day of installation, our power went out in our house when we tried to turn on the hallway lights. The product as a whole is extremely efficient like they said they would be, although we haven't had any extreme weather here in SoCal.
