This is the BIGGEST SCAM!!! They didn't save us one red cent! We paid them over $3,000 for services. First service was to STOP penalties and interest which they did NOT DO. The original payment that we were supposed to be set up is much more than agreed and now they say we owe almost $10k MORE than what we owed (according to the IRS) when starting. From Day 1 I should have ran the other way. I have 2 people working on my case with neither one understanding what the other person is doing or saying. They each tell me something completely different is happening with my case, and they self admittedly do not talk to each other. They tell me something in the beginning and then reverse course. I had nick Carrera help me and he was completely unprofessional . Big chip on his shoulder . They lure you with a lot of terminology and confuse you to there connivence also tricked me into signing docs to run credit checks (hard inquires) after making it clear I didn’t want to apply for loans . Over the last three (3) months I have left 7 messages for Brian McFanel(?), Escalations Manager, begging him to please escalate my case or call me or send me to someone who can help. We owed back taxes for a few years. Community Tax was able structure a repayment plan with the IRS, but they were not able to reduce the amount we owed or negotiate a payment plan we could afford. Worse than that, they made several filing errors that required me to re-file state taxes (and tried to charge me $800 to fix their mistakes). We first contacted CTR in 2009. At that time, our tax situation was dreadful....and scary to us. I got sober October 15, 2008 and, by the Grace of God, remain sober to this day. We weren't sure what to do when we got a notice from the IRS about our taxes. My husband seen CTR's number on TV so I called and we got started. We were in dire straits when we first found CTR. Hadn't filed taxes for 7 years and this was late 2008.
