In Albuquerque, NM paid for appraisal and it took them almost a month to complete with several errors. On top of everything else they assigned an appraiser from Peralta, NM that didn't even know the area. I am in the business and don't understand how a company like this is still operating. If your mortgage company uses Land Gorilla for the appraisal, run away! They contracted a third party appraiser in our area to appraise our property. The appraiser never set foot on our property! Sent a couple to measure and take pictures. When we tried to have the mistakes corrected and the additional comps considered, we were told those things wouldn't make a difference in the value. What?? Land Gorilla is an absolute nightmare to work with and their appraisals are inaccurate. They charged $700 and since the appraisal was inaccurate and Land Gorilla would not talk to us at all about the appraisal we are out $700 and the lender would not go through with the refinance because the value of the home per the appraisal. Ordered an appraisal for the purchase of a home and land. Was charged for services and appraisal was noted as complete when the appraiser never went out to land or to home location. Paid for a 15 day turnaround on completion of the appraisal and now at 45 days later and the appraisal assigned to another appraiser with this company with an estimated completion 20+ days from now. About time someone figured it out. Appraisers are sick and tired of being used by AMC to fatten their own pockets. Paying appraisers a fraction of the fees they charge and expecting it done the next day! Bottom line is you get what you pay for. Im excited to see an new company pay us what we are do and not get hassled to take a cut in pay. Before AMCs I would charge $350 but now im lucky if I get half that amount for the same work! All I can say its worth the extra $50 to get a great appraisal done right the first time. We have been using LG for almost a year and I won't use anybody else for our appraisal work. It's nice to have the piece of mind that our appraisers are making their full fee and doing quality work. Read More »

I highly recommend Land Gorilla appraisals to anybody. This is exactly what the appraisal business has needed since HVCC. Why a lender would use another company does not make sense to me. I have scene so many deals come across my desk only to see it fall out with a cheep worthless appraisal. Land Gorilla is exactly what the appraisal industry needs. We have used just about every appraisal management company out and they all are the same. I have horror stories like most people do using companies that do not use quality appraisers. We love Land Gorilla because the appraiser gets paid their full fee, and believe me I want every penny to go to the appraiser because it the appraiser is happy then I know they are taking the time to do work.
