I am a small business owner who has placed 4 claims with TKG over the years. One was successfully settled (a small claim over a very clear contract with a reasonable debtor); the other three were not. In two of those cases, we agreed to let it go and write off the bad debt. I spent hours sending over the same documentation to this group of unprofessionals. They never read any of it, they asked for it 5x though they already had it. When I challenged their competence the owner cried like a baby saying I was being mean to him. I'm surprised these guys could collect a dime from anyone. I was referred to the Kaplan Group through a small business owners' network I belong to on the East Coast and they were able to successfully collect all money owed to me from a large retail customer within 3 weeks. The debt was nearly 180 days past due and I'm certain I would not have been able to collect it through my own continued efforts. After having unpleasant encounters with several other collection agencies, we were apprehensive to even start with a new one. In a short while, The Kaplan Group has done more than the other agencies combined. Not only was this company fast, but also very effective. Even though so far unable to collect the debt (client is broke), the people who handled my account were pleasant, knowledgeable and communicated in a timely fashion. It is very hard to find a reputable collection agency. I would highly recommencement you try this company. Read More »

I provided documentation showing that I was not liable for the debt Steven Torres was claiming I was. I provided the contact for the billable party to Mr. Torres. Since the billable party cancel the product and license, he could not collect there, so he continues to threaten me with ligation. I filed complaints with BBB, CFPB, and State Attorney. Worked with this company and they were absolutely fantastic. They recovered expediously the monies owed to us in a very professional capacity. They communicated regularly what was transpiring and I would highly recommend them to take care of you. Their fees for recovery were extremely reasonable and fair.
