Arkidus is a scam and Reinaldo (Ray) Berges is a crook. The Fl. Dept. of Insurance has revoked his license (he actually didn't have all of the required licenses in the first place) but that is all they could do. So he is free to do whatever he wants provided he doesn't sell insurance anymore. I know of at least one venture that he is starting which means Ray will likely be scamming again. I signed up for Arkidus Home Protection when we purchased our home in May 1012. In September, I tried to contact them with a claim, and they are unavailable by phone. It only rings busy, and they didn't respond to my online claim request. I filed with BBB and, as another reviewer suggested, with the State of Texas. The company is clearly out of business and probably never was in business. Ray even tried to put my second payment of $253 through my paypal account without my knowledge. Luckily, I saw it in time to stop it. He approved $3900 toward a new HVAC system in our home. ***UPDATE*** I checked the company website about a month ago and they have updated it to say that they did not mean to scam anyone, that they simply went out of business, even better - Ray is speaking with everyone individually and refunding their money. UPDATE: A Florida state investogator called me today and requested I send her all information regarding my case against Ray Berges and Arkidus Home Protection. Call 850-413-5614 if you have a legitimate matter and have all youir evidence ready to go. It took 3 weeks of trying to get someone to answer the phone to report the claim. (Oven doesn't turn off) A couple of days later, someone called and said my whirlpool wasn't covered. (Whirlpool oven, not spa.) Seemed to get straightened out and was told that someone would call to schedule a repair. No one ever called back. Oh how I wished that I would have gotten a hold of this info before now! I too was taken for a ride with this company. They took my money and then they do not answer the phone. Guys, dont go in good reviews,apply your inteligence before buying from this guys. Try to reach their claim deparment atleast few times and see whether yiou can reach them or not. I am trying to treach them since last three days. Gave 50 calls, send emails to agent as well as one suggested on their website. No response yet. I've been a customer since April 2012, and paid for the Diamond contract because of 10 year old equipment. I've filed 3 claims so far; the first took 3 days for them to find a repair company in HOUSTON, they didn't have to pay out for a repair, but hadn't paid the vendor after a month. I then had an AC call which they approved for repair but didn't pay the vendor until I complained he wouldn't come out at my own expense! I purchased a home warranty with this company in April 2012. In June my heat pump started blowing hot air. I called Arkidus, they sent someone to fix the issue. The contractor told them it was a freon leak in the handler unit, and that the unit was too old, and there were no replacement parts. Arkidus agree to pay 50% of a replacement unit, not 100% which they should according to our agreement, but 50%. I have found this company to be very reliable as often as I can I recommend their services. They have friendly representatives. Every time I file a claim, the claims department assist me in getting a tech out to my residence and complete the work. Last claim filed was on 5/17/2012 on the microwave, and it was replaced 5 days later after Arkidus found the correct microwave I had. Their customer support is outstanding. Read More »

I have had two experiences with Arkidus Home Protection. One was immediately positive and the other was eventually positive. In the first case, when our air conditioner died and the temperature was over 100 degrees, Arkidus immediately referred me to an excellent repair company the took care of the problem right away. Do NOT sign up for this warranty. I am a contractor who performed service for this company back in May 2012 and to date have not been paid for these services. I have repeatedly contacted this company for payment and have received every excuse in the book regarding check being in the mail but to date no payment is received. Completely satisfied with the replacement they provided. My hot water heater went bad and arkidus replaced it. The total cost of this replacement was $850. It took 5 days for the work to be completed, but i cant really complain. I will definetely renew with this company next year. Their customer service is a little off, but they do honor claims. I bought the Diamond Plan about 9 months ago and just last week my refrigerator broke-down and I called the AHP to fix it. The first time I called the called went straight to voice-mail. These guys are amazing. I had my furnace stop working so I called and was given a referral. Unfortunately the company was not able to come out that day. So I called Arkidus Home Protection back and they said I could use any company I could find, I just needed to call for approval before they did the work. This company is a fraud. My claim was approved and I received my ac service. However, a few weeks later, I received an invoice from the ac company for the balance due as AHP did not pay their portion per the terms and conditions. I have called on numerous occassions and got the run around. I even spoke with Ray Bridges who handles the payment and the bill still has not been paid. I signed up for their diamond coverage in April 2012. My wife's washing machine quit working so I called my personal agents phone. His mail box is full and not taking any more messages. I dialed Arkidus toll free support number and their mailbox is also full and not accepting any more calls. I filled out a warranty claim on their website and sent it. I purchased a home warranty from AHP, (Arkidus Home Protection) in April of this year. Miami, Florida. In May, when we turned our Air conditioning on it was blowing warm air. Do not be fooled by the excellent ratings on other sites...these people are crooks! I've been trying to get hold of someone to get my AC fixed for a week now and no one will call me back. The AC company I picked DID NOT want to speak to a home warranty company so I called Jaime over at Arkidus Home protection and he happily took on the challenge of calling my AC company and took care of all the paperwork over the phone! I couldn't be happier with the service I got from Arkidus Home Protection- this was my first experience with any home warranty, and I can hardly believe how painless they made it! My water heater had started kicking the breaker, & now, less than 24 hrs later, I am the proud owner of a brand new unit.
