We had Brian at Consumer Proponents working on our case for about 4 years and they waited until the end when the sale date was on our home and we had to end up filing BK. We had paid this company $5000 dollars and they still did nothing. We have been trying to get our money back from them and we had not been able to get any answers from this company. Steve Carson and his associates at Consumer Proponents are the best. For many years I have tried to modify my loan to save my house. We were 9 months behind due to an illness and then losing our jobs at the same time. Our mortgage company gave us endless run around and stress when we tried to get the loan modified on our own and then denied us. They then lied to us about a sale date and almost auctioned off our home. I figured it was a long shot. They told me it might not happen. But they did it! They actually saved my home. I had a sale date on my home when i contacted them. They were able to help me get it removed and then through their help was able to get all of the documents the bank needed and the dozens of other bits of info they kept asking for to be reviewed and then approved for a resinstatement. I was behind over a year with a second sale date in less than a month. Mortgage company denied modification twice! Bryan and the team at Consumer Proponents stepped in and fought for six months and a third surprise sale date to get this straight. I called these guys cause I was having a hard time paying my mortgage. After they reviewed my information they told me they couldn't take on my file. Which blew my mind cause I was trying to send them a check to get started but they said they couldn't accept it cause they didn't feel confident enough they could get me help. I called so many damn places trying to save my house from foreclosure and they were all liars and crooks until i finally got a call from these guys. I talked to some guy named Mel I think before talking to Max who pretty much told me straight how everything worked and got it done. We were so far behind we were packing up to move. These guys pushed back the foreclosure and eventually got the mortgage current and I think got the interest rate down by about 2%. So we're really happy and thankful that we found these guys and they were actually able to help us. I worked with these guys a few years ago on my husbands house. he was behind, but they got him current and lowered her interest to about 3% i think. But we just got approved for a mod on my mothers home and she got current and her interest rate is only 2%! I couldn't believe that.
