Such fake reviews! The mob on social media, led by the granddaughter of a hotel chain founder, is trying to get all therapeutic programs for teenagers shut down, and this is one of the places they are spreading their lies. IT IS SUCH A SHAME, BECAUSE THIS IS ONE REALLY GOOD PROGRAM, AND MUCH LOWER IN COST. It is disturbing how this facility is invalidating the traumatic experience and decade of internal suffering the women who attended this program go through after leaving. Are you above a public apology? Regardless of your attempts to quiet us, we will only get louder. I attended this tc from 13-15. I absolutely do not recommend this school for troubled teens. I am a pediatrician, a child abuse physician, and a parent of a former student. These "Christian" non-medical schools should be permanently closed. They operate in a grey area. Neither parent nor the State can provide oversight since they operate as a religious facility and not as a medical facility. Accordingly they can use unlicensed and unqualified staff to conduct "psychological" therapy on your teen. Parents must "sign over"... Read More »

Teen Challenge Lakeland is actively deleting reviews, including my own, due to the amount of much deserved scrutiny they're FINALLY receiving for the death of a child in their care and the countless testimonies of abuse that's finally being unveiled. DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONES HERE FOR THEIR SAFETY AND WELL-BEING!!!! I was in teen challenge for a total of 5 months and during that time lots of stuff happened.... I got strep throat (they refused to feed me anything except chicken broth, because they didn't take me seriously), I had to be quarantined for scabbies, lice outbreaks (mayo hair with plastic wrap), oatmeal restrictions (plain oatmeal for all meals), windows that were ALL screwed shut, the "conseling" was not frequent or helpful... This program is excellent and caring. I have been on campus many times and have contacted other parents who have had a girl there -- the positive response is unanimous. Now, the program is being attacked by the mob who wants to shut down all such therapeutic programs across the nation. They are writing thousands of fake negative reviews to destroy LGA.
