I contracted State to State in June 2020, got our items picked up in July, and our delivery happened overall in August. We paid much more than our quote, and most importantly, we were missing critical items and our delivery included items that did not belong to us, AND we have been strung along for the last 3 months on the hope that our items will actually reach us. A scam all the way - from the "verbal contract" to the last minute charges - delays, horrible customer service, overcharges, items that arrive broken and forget about getting any insurance from them. The sales rep negotiated a rate and then the guy who came to pick up my things basically doubled the rate. The binding estimate required a 50% deposit. The guy, Mario, who came to get my furniture demanded 60%. Then, they broke a lamp before they even got downstairs and didn't have the decency to clean up the broken glass. They were supposed to deliver on the 13th but the driver (from a completely different company) said he was coming a week early even though I would not be in my house yet.... Read More »

This company did a "bait and switch" on me. After staging all of my belongings started "complaining" about how heavy everything was and that they were going to have to charge more. Basically held my belongings hostage. Not only that, they damaged some of my antiques. I contacted them to provide reimbursement and they have refused to respond. State to State Logistics is running a scam. They provide quotes with the intention to double the quoted price. My items were professionally weighed and measured by an outside company at 2800 lbs and 400 cubic sq. ft. , the data my fee was based on. After the driver picked up my items from a secure storage facility in LA, he called and told me that the weigh and size was double. I strongly recommend State to State Logistics, I have moved a lot of times and this was the only time I was very happy how the job was done, furniture was wrapped with the blankets, also some other miscellaneous items and movers were very careful while moving everything into my new apartment. Honestly this is the worst company I have ever used. If I could give negative stars I would. They reached out to me about my terrible expirence, but then never followed through to fix any of their mistakes. We hired them to do our move from CA to Texas. Their advertisement showed a semi trailer. That’s a lie! They use a beat up old budge truck! They gave me a quote for $5000 for the trip and after all my stuff was loaded in truck, they said it’s $13,000!! WTh!! I had no choice but to pay! BEWARE! Overcharged by almost 100%. They are brokers that do not own their own trucks and farm services out to subcontractors... no accountability. Absolutely no customer service once you have paid your deposit. If you've had a bad experience with them file a complaint with DOT, FMCSA and Better Business Bureau.
