This Company is a SCAM! I sent in a bunch of jewelry that I never wear. When it was purchased new, it cost over $2000 for all of it. All of it was at least 10k gold. There was also a diamond wedding ring. They offered me a check for $46. Give me a break!

I am so happy for this web site. I was contemplating selling a gold ring to Cash4Gold. In reading so many consumer complaints about this company, I would not touch it with a 10 foot pole. Thank God for the Internet and especially thank God for this web site.

I'd like to thank everyone for the reviews.I too am looking for an honest place to sell scrap gold and silver.I'd seen the ads on TV for this company and My Gold Envelope.I had decided to go with My Gold Envelope. The spokesperson Sully looked a little more honest. While waiting for my shipping envelope to arrive I checked the internet for prices on scrap gold and silver. My search finally led to another company that had a BBB seal displayed on their website. This made me think it might be wise to check to see if Gold Envelope had one. They don't.I did see their rating,D- and read their reviews. From there I decided to check Cash 4 Gold. They are rated a little better but from the reviews I see they are also not trustworthy.I'm so glad I checked with the BBB before I sent my gold and silver to either company. Thanks again to all who took the time to write a review.
If you're interested in what your gold is worth.I went to wikihow.com and searched for "How to calculate the value of scrap gold".They give you a formula to calculate it's worth.Very helpful. At least you'll have a rough idea of what price you should ask for your gold.

Cash 4 Gold - This is a scam. I mailed several gold items to this company and low and behold, they "never received them". Before getting any information from me, they immediately tell me that they will send me a claim form. They didn't even ask me to give my package a few more days to arrive. I should have checked BBB before doing this. Luckily the gold I sent was gold I didn't wear anymore; but still if you are looking to get a little extra cash, this SCAM will leave you VERY DISSAPPOINTED and angry. I hope a suit is brought against them. They deserve it.

I requested Cash4Gold's mailing packet which I promptly received. I filled it with my old & broken gold and sent it off in the envelope they provided. That was the last time I saw my gold and never received a check or response from the company when I inquired. My advice: Stay away from Cash4Gold and the other companies like it.

Hello! Ive experienced the same as everyone. I mailed my package and it was way worth more than they offered. I called back to see what to do next they told me to send the check back and they would send my items. I was told when they received the check back that my items were miss placed. Then they offered me 2 times what they did before. Which was no way worth what they were. How can we do anything about this? Im so very upset the items were one of a kind but in weight and gold worth way more. How can these companies do this to people like us? I wish I wouldve looked here first but i didnt. I truly needed some extra cash more. PLEASE DONT SEND YOUR ITEMS HERE!

This company is a big scam. I was not satisfied with the offer made for the items I sent so I returned the check and emailed them to return my jewellery. I got a letter in the mail a few days later informing me that they sold my jewellery to a third party because I did not contact them within 12 days of the check date letting them know I wanted it back. First of all I received the check 7 days after the date on the check so it would be unrealistic for me to get it back to them in that time frame. I was not informed about this and currently have a lawyer checking into it. I would not suggest anyone use their services.

My wife and I were very lucky that they acknowledged the receipt since we were tracking it via USPS website. Also that they also sent the item back to us. We sent in a coin that is made of 1oz. of fine gold. Fine gold is rated at 24 karat by the old system they stated that it was less than 1oz of 22 karat gold. This gold coin was minted by the US Mint and is certified to be of 24k 1oz gold. Cash4Gold offered us $295.00 for the coin we said this was not enough. They offered another $100.00. That comes to $395 for a coin that has a gold value of over $900. This was during their ad saying that they would pay an additional 20% of the gold value. This company is nothing but a bunch of rip off artists. Please what ever you do, do not trust this company in any way. They are known for saying they did not get items. They do not insure for the amount of the items worth. If it had been lost being sent back they only insured for $100. This even by their own assessment would not have covered what the item was worth. We were very lucky.

I am very glad that I checked out this site before doing anything foolish. I contacted them to get the package to mail my gold into them and it just in the mail. When I was looking at everything I thought I better go to the Better Business Bureau website and look to see if this was really a trustworthy company. After reading all the negative reviews I have decided to ditch the package in the trash and would caution anyone in using their services. They truly sound as though they are not an honest company!

I sent in approximately 15.5 ounces of gold jewelry to Cash 4 Gold and even with their advanced tracking system, they are saying they did not get my package of gold. They want to settle with me for $100. I am very dissatisfied. I just want my gold back. These are not honest people and this dishonest company should be put out of business.

I also sent package to Cash4Gold and they claimed they never reeived my prepaid package with their information. My package has been lost ever since and they sent me check for $100.00! I still have all my receipts and all the items total over $1000.00 so I am screwed and they say if my package does show up they will send the difference! I learned a hard lesson and anyone else out there DO NOT SEND THEM ANYTHING! THEY ARE SCAMS!

I just want to thank each one who has taken the time to send a review. I went as far as ordering the mailing packet from Cash4Gold but when it arrived today in the mail It hit me I should check them out through the BBB and am I glad I did. Which then lead me to these reviews which only validated the rating they have and encouraged me not to pursue it any further Thank you

During my temporary disability for a mini stroke, I saw on tv the cash4gold commercial and was hesitant @ first, but was desperate cause i hadn't received my disability checks and so i decided to send my jewelry. that was on 3/21/2009. I called them @ the end of last week and was told they hadn't received my package and to call them today. I just called and was told, by Winston, that I should be recieving a check in 3 to 4 days. I found it odd that he asked me only for my name and my street address, no city or state or tracking #, and was able to tell me that there was a "check in the mail"....oh and he couldn't tell me how much it was for....Humm???????....it's hard for me to accept that people can be so heartless as to steal from each other in this time of hardship which many of us are going thru, so I will wait and hope they do send me the money. If not, i believe in God and believe they will have to pay him someday. - Hoping that I am wrong!

Do not trust this company. I sent in over an ounce of 24 k gold and they sent me a check which had really disgusted me. I could have gone to a pawn shop and received double what they were sending me. I called to see if my items would be reappraised and it has been 3 days now and I have received countless promises that an appraiser will call me. I have read other reviews stating that packages are being lost from all over. I was glad that I had my items insured because under their fine print, it states that it only covers up to 100 dollars. Please be cautious when dealing with this company. I tried calling them yesterday and kept getting a disconnected number message. Will try calling again today to see if my items can be ship backed to me (which I doubt). I should have checked the BBB before dealing with this company.

I read the terms and conditions which stated only $100 would be insured, so I sent my gold item via FedEx w/$800 insurance. I tracked my package a few days after and saw they had attempted delivery, but there was an exception. FedEx said the company no longer exist at 1701 Blount Rd. (Sent FedEx pkg to physical address because FedEx does not deliver to PO Box addresses.)

I called Cash4Gold to ask for the new address and the customer service rep didn't know it. I then called later in the day to ask a different person for the address and it said the 800 number was out of service. I quickly called FedEx back and requested to have my package delivered back to me. I realized sending my item wasn't a good idea. I then came to BBB and inquired on the company. I was lucky and requested my item back from FedEx, hopefully other consumers will check out BBB before deciding to deal with Cash4Gold. Thanks to everyone who have provided feedback and reviews.

Do yourself a favor, go to the website for the Better Business Bureau (which Cash4Gold advertises their logo on their TV commercials) and lookup this Mail Fraud Scam Artist company!!! And please if you've been scammed by them, submit a complaint with the BBB and the Florida Attorney General's Office - they are already investigating this company! Lodge every complaint you can against them if you've been a victim of their so-called "business practices" which are just ripping people off after making false promises to themt to trust them with your jewelry/gold/valuables.

Can you say MAIL FRAUD?

I trusted there promises, foolishly ... there is no "guaranteed satisfaction" or "insured" with using their mailers. They end up telling you they NEVER have received your shipment and then try to pawn you off on the USPS, which is useless. Supposedly, they provide the customer with some Limitations & Terms/Conditions to their offer, but I have YET to see this documentation from them - they surely didn't send it with their mailer BEFORE I sent out my gold jewelry items to them. If they had, after reading them, I would have NEVER EVER sent anything to them!!

Don't trust this company with ANY of your gold or jewelry ... do your research, I only wish I had. ~ Disappointed & Foolish Debbie

I sent in 2 10k gold figero chains that i weighed and calculated the market value myself which came between $216.19 and $228.00. i asked for an appraisal for the items when they got there. they never called to give me an appraisal, they just sent me a check for $17.30. the paystub says 1 10k and 1 sterling. thats probably because white gold looks like silver. shows they did\'nt apraise it, bs. i want my jewlery back or full value!

I mailed a gold pack to Cash4Gold on December 11, 2008. I called them to see if they had received the pack and they informed me that it has been lost in the mail. I have contacted both my local post office where I mailed the package as well as the Missouri Postal Inspector. I was under the impression that my package was insured by the post office since there was a tracking number. I found out that this was a Cash4Gold tracking number and the post office will not be able to track my package. The postal inspector's office has informed me that packages are being lost from all parts of the country, so they think that it is a Cash4Gold scam. Needless to say I sent about $1200 worth of gold for which, if I am lucky, will receive $100. Cash4Gold's "satisfaction guaranteed" on their mailing as well as their commercials is false in my case. My suggestion, don't use send anything to them or at least insure it yourself.
