**SCAM**Do not fall for this "free" cruise...complete waste of time and money
Like so many others, my boyfriend "won" a free 3 day cruise to the bahamas. We went to the timeshare spiel at which point he, who had gone in alone, expressed no intereset whatsoever in their outrageously priced packages. The swindlers then sent out what
they obviously felt was an "attractive" female representative and, ignoring that tactic, my guy simply requested his prize and nothing more. He paid the fees when they were due and we selected a date from the list of options based on the airport we chose to
fly out of. We were then given 2 alternate dates and told they would make an effort to comply with our preferences. This is where they get you. Out of all 3 dates, not one of them was available by the time we got our email weeks later instructing us to call
and schedule our "free" cruise. We were given one completely different date and basically told "take it or leave it". He then asked if we chose a different airport (which apparently made a difference in the beginning when choosing a date) would it change anything
and they said no. I would also like to mention that he was not given this specific final date until AFTER he turned down cabin and flight upgrades. My thought is that had he agreed to being swindled out of all the extra money, our original date preferences
would suddenly become very possible. Perhaps one of the biggest disappointments is the fact that we just applied for passports a few short weeks ago, which cost $135 each and we wouldn't have needed for any other reason except this cruise. Since passports
can take at least a month to be finished, we wanted to be prepared in the event that our earliest vacation date was given to us. What an absolute waste of time, gas, planning and, of course, money. I'm glad my guy chose a refund. We will find something better
to do this summer and God only knows if there wouldn't have been a new hidden "We-Never-Said-We'd-Let-You-Back-Into-The U.S.-For-Free" fee by the time we got back on the boat to come home. At least we learned a lesson and I hope this review will help others
not to make the same mistake after they drop their business card into a fishbowl to win a "free" cruise.
