They are a BBB Accredited Business: http://www.la.bbb.org/Business-Report/Mortgage-Restructuring-Solutions-Inc-100078972

They are a fairly new biz and show one complaint, but are properly registered with the State of CA. Still, always read the fine print in any contract and good luck.

I have a service that does not charge a fee in advance. They only charge a fee upon placing a successful modification for you. If you have more interest - please contact me at 877-315-9856 Thank You. Bryan Wilson President Magellan Capital Group & Assoc.

Dianne, their contract seems to appear legit. They state that they have 100% money back guarantee if they are not successful. How does one insure that they get a refund in the event that they are not successful?

California Bill 94 (October 2009) makes it illegal for any loan modification company such as MRS to demand or accept "upfront fees" from clients until all of the work is completed on their modification. In the case of MRS, the entire completion and delivery to the customer of the Submission packet or MRS acquiring a successful modification for it's client. It can then and only then require and accept the fee for service. The State Attorney General cautions against paying any "upfront fees" for services to loan modification company's.

Any client that have been required to pay an "upfront fee" to any loan modification business in Orange County, CA should realize that the company is breaking the law according to Calif Senate Bill 94 and Calif Civil Code 2944.7, which prohibits loan modification company's from this practice until they have completed all contracted work on your loan modification. File a Real Estate Fraud Report with the Office of the District Attorney, Orange County, CA, Real Estate Fraud Unit, 5th Floor, PO Box 808, Santa Ana, CA 92701 (714) 834-3600 if you have been victimized by this illegal action. The form is available as a PDF online. Enough complaints may compel the District Attorney to shut down these unethical companies.
