On 7/29/2011 8X8 INC charged my credit card $257.27 Reference # 0174 Bank of America for an additional year of VOIP phone service.
On 9/9/2011 I received my Credit Card bill and I contacted 8X8 INC and informed them that I wanted their service cancelled. That I did not authorize them to charge me for another year of service and that I wanted them to refund the charge.
I was informed that I could cancel the service but that they would not offer a refund.
I had previously notified the company that I did not want their service anymore and was informed that I had signed up for a year and that I had to complete the year’s service.
This is outright theft to charge my Credit Card for a service I did not request and as soon as I see the charge and request they cancel the service and refund the money they say sorry no refunds.
I have disputed this charge with my Credit Card company, filled a complaint with the FCC Reference # 11-C00331056, and filed a complaint with the BBB.
However with the way they ignored me when I wanted to cancel their service before and charged me for yet another year of service I want to make sure that everyone who is thinking about choosing 8X8 INC (packet 8) as a VOIP service provider to just run away from them instead.
