A total amount of 300.00 was paid to AAA Collections, Inc. in the form of money orders. I have inquired about where those payments were sent and I have yet to receive a response in regards to this issue. This includes direct compensation of 1,000.00 for violations under the FDCPA for charging interest and 300.00 that should have been applied to a medical bill that I had. The medical bill was taken off the credit report however, these issues need to be addressed accordingly due to the unfinished business on the part of AAA Collections, Inc. I want 300.00 returned to include direct compensation of 1,000.00 for willfully charging interest. Refer to exhibits A.. This also includes misappropriating funds that were not applied to a medical bill due failure to provide a billing statement indicating that payments were received accordingly and applied accordingly. Should I find that 300.00 was indeed stolen then that amount doubles to 600.00 under South Dakota Law in regards to Theft.
Update as of 3/24/2016: According to Lifelock.com credit reports and the Experian credit report, it appears this entire debt has been removed.
In addition, I have just learned that a collection agency has to have a collection license to practice in another state. AAA Collections, Inc. does not a have license to practice in the state of Nebraska. What that means is that AAA Collections. Inc. must pay a bond of 15,000.00 plus additional fees in order to collect debt in Nebraska-Period. Otherwise, they can be prosecuted under State and Federal Law.
This activity reflects poorly on the part of AAA Collections, Inc.
UPDATE 2/27/2016: AAA Collections, Inc., has removed all information off all Lifelock.com credit reports to also include Experian. I will upgrade AAA Collections, Inc. from a one star rating to a three star rating.
